He did come accross as a bit of a tool in that article - particularly his dig at Gus, which was based on a total misquote anyway.
It's only a friendly, so he can still go and play for the Ivory coast anyhow, although the tosser will certainly fit in with the attitude of some recent England players.

Good call on Everton - other than the new league teams we have never played, the team we haven't played for the longest time - nearly 30 years now ( April 1983 ).
But then again, we don't pay an incomming striker all his wages up front on day 1. You have a good point, but the money isn't needed all at once, and it depends on the extact breakdown of the settlement.
Lets not chuckle too loudly about the prospect of Adkins getting the sack - it's not hard to guess which successful south coast manager would be one of their favourite replacements.
Hoskins is only injured for a few weeks, and, with a new striker, is 3rd/4th choice. Unless the injury becomes more serious I suspect we can go without his services and not need a replacement for now.
