bit of a different situation given kane was their captain and had come through the academy.
also, spurs flatly refused to sell kane. we've been open to selling cucu. kane knew he wasnt getting his move so what else was there to do? if cucu stays we then have this whole saga hanging over us all...
well they've signed someone who can play in the left centre back role, so he's probably leaving, and there's been a couple of rumours that his preference would be to come here anyway. definitely one to keep an eye on
so if he genuinely is unhappy and is throwing his toys out the pram? then what? the club would probably be willing to accept some sort of discount somewhere if it meant moving on someone who was really unhappy and possibly becoming a bad influence on the rest of the team. this is of course all...
hard not to see how cucu doesn't end up at city now for nearish £40M. people keep bringing up the dale stephens situation, but that's totally different as the offer came right at the end of the window and we had no way of replacing him. if he has handed in a transfer request then firstly that's...
it'll be exciting to see how far it takes us, that's for sure. though in fairness, we have seen at least two significant first team additions in every single summer transfer window. it may be the case that we've already had them, but if certain players end up being sold then who knows
very outdated article but some of these turned out okay for at least one of the clubs involved

agree with your point but the players you've listed have all played extensively in european competitions prior to joining city, to the degree where they're seasoned pros at that level. it may be that that's the experience that city are willing to push the finances for
problem with letting him go is he's that good that we're essentially gonna have to replace a player at j two positions, we need someone to play in the left centre back role (could be internal like webster) that burn also played and the attacking full back role.
that's the thing though, isn't it? yes we've go a lot players who will leave at one point or another but it's honestly so exciting seeing whatever gem we've picked out to replace them
