Many thanks for posting your well written piece John, I too have had 'wobbles' over recent times knowing that the glass ceiling is there and seeing the Premier League awash with money, but I maintain a sense of belief that all will be well with Tony at the helm.
I can understand why Potter was...
Basically then Red Bull have been found guilty of cheating their way to the 2021 title by potentially spending up to $7,250,000 more than other F1 teams last season :annoyed:
I really have to question if you've ever been to the Goldstone on a day when things haven't gone to plan. I may be getting on in years but I remember being in the North Stand back in the 70's and 80's and you couldn't hear yourself think it was that noisy, the fans certainly did their bit in...
Well, Albion fans singing at away games isn't a problem I can tell you, maybe the fact we play better away from home than at the Amex helps in this respect.
I've mentioned to Barber a few times that the North Stand, such as it is, isn't fit for purpose (and I don't mean the fans who sit/stand...
I back Potter and I love how cool he is, even under great pressure. Saying that I thought the match yesterday showed up what should have been happening more often.
Caceido and Mwepu showed what we are missing with regards to 'strength' at the sharp end, they harrassed and fought for each other...
Of course it's a combination of many things but overall the players are woeful in shooting accurately, this season isn't the first time we've seen that either.
Passing has improved under Potter but our intensity and pace is missing hence we are ineffective in getting into the opponents last...
I for one will be looking through my fingers at the game from the away end on Saturday, like a young kid watching Dr Who (when it was scarey) from behind the sofa
RIP the lovely, warm, funny and extremely talented June Brown
Every time I see her being interviewed I feel that I've seen a real star of stage, screen and life itself, she is effortlessly brilliant.
In the Summer transfer window a £13m offer for Dan Burn would have been crazy...and totally unlikely.
I see him as not only a great bloke and good CB, but also a real asset to us in the Premier League. Like many on here I'm sad to see him go, but at the same time pleased for him that he's...
As much as I admire Bloom sticking to his principles and not breaking the glass ceiling in terms of player wages, we are evidently short of a top striker up front when crosses come in and it frustrates me enormously seeing good chances go begging. It's easy to spot the difference when Welbeck...
Three points regarding Dan Burn.
1. He is a fantastic asset to the team
2. He is a Centre Back, not really a LB...and as for LWB...NO!
3. He appears to be a great bloke
100% correct, they must appeal.
If teams/drivers who are legitimately wronged just throw their collective hands in the air and let the race director do what he effing well likes, then this sport will be the big loser.
The late Charlie Whiting would have been turning in his grave watching the...
Along with Lamptey he was my player of the match, now if only some of the others in midfield and up front could try and achieve that same level of skill we might score.
The elephant in the room has been around for quite a while now, if Albion don't get their recruitment right this coming transfer window and get a good striker or two in then we'll get what we deserve. That will mean another season of missed chances after creating some of the best openings any...
