    [Other Sport] Owen Farrell

Late to the party here, but this will be interesting to watch at the Rugby World Cup. What we are seeing is different refereeing decisions in the Northern and Southern hemispheres. There have been several Super Rugby tackles this season that would have been carded in the Northern hemisphere...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion 2023/24 home kit

I've seen a few pictures of the Euro font on shirts... Looks good. I'm hoping the away kit comes back in stock (and I'll be getting the euro sleeve patches if it does)

    [Other Sport] Egg Chasing

Jones should have either been sacked a year earlier, or kept. Borthwick needs another year to get this team clicking. The only blessing is that I imagine that he used today to test out the 'maybe' players, England may look better with the first choice 15... however we need more than 15 players...

    [Albion] myAlbion+ membership pack 23/24

I use the power bank loads. The lucky socks are still in good condition because we lost whenever I wore them, so I stopped wearing them very quickly!! We've received 1 of 3 membership packs at Strings HQ in Yorkshire, but I'm holding it back until both kids have their packs (to avoid...

[Other Sport] 2026 Commonwealth Games in Doubt

I like the Commonwealth Games and attended the Rugby Sevens in 2022, which was in Coventry. It seems to me that probably only the UK has cities with the existing infrastructure given that Canada and Australia seem to have ruled themselves out. Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow have all held the...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion 2023/24 Away Kit

I'm amazed how quickly out has sold out (in several sizes). I've not bought a shirt in the last few years (wanted both crimson and hyperturq) because I've been too slow, by waiting until August. This year, they've sold even quicker! It's great, but also bizarre at the same time.

[Football] New Kits Thread - Season 23/24

Silly question... In the Europa League, will we have our own font for the name and number?

[Football] And the title of the UK's thickest football fan goes to.....

This might be a stupid question; but if you don't ask stupid question, you don't learn... Is it possible that the shop that printed the shirt also committed an offence? There is a possibility that it was a 'iron it at home' job, but the alignment looks far too good.

[Albion] Marc Cucurella - Would you want him back?

I agree with the general sentiment of this thread. However this is a sensible response. We are going to need a much bigger squad next season to cope with all of the extra games. If the price is right (in terms of both fee and wages), than it might be a sensible option.

[Football] New Kits Thread - Season 23/24

I have to agree. Macron have been making decent kits (not just for palace) for a couple of seasons now

[Football] VAR audio to be released post-match

Yes - I think it will help. But... why post match? Why not make a live stream available as is done with other sports? Unless it is available live, I don't see how it will reduce claims of 'cover ups'.

    [Albion] Leeds United - away

Gosh - I am only 20 minutes away and my snow is much worse. I am sure the main roads will be fine, my main concern is getting to a main road!

    [Other Sport] Delilah OUT

This is absolutely the issue. Welsh rugby has serious issues that need resolving. On the RFU/Sweet Chariot point, the RFU did put out publicity (including a documentary) seeking to 'educate' fans just over 2 years ago.

Away at Sheffield United/Wednesday or Leeds would suit me.

    [Albion] Roberto's choice of coat

This has been bugging me for a couple of weeks now - I'm pleased it is not just me that noticed. Surely we can give the man something better that a Sports Direct jacket.

[Other Sport] (Rugby Union) Eddie Jones- Thanks And Goodbye ?

Absolutely guarantees Australia knocking us out of the World Cup. I understand why the RFU wanted rid of Jones, but the timing was utterly bizarre - 3 years into a 4 year cycle. Clearly speaking out against public schools still angers the Toffs at the top of the RFU. (Having said all that, I...

[Albion] Carabao Cup Fourth Round: Charlton - 3rd allocation of tickets

Rather selfishly, I would go for Nottingham Forest away. None of the sides are particularly local to me, but my employer has a Nottingham office that I could work at for the day.

[Football] Who’s not watching the World Cup?

I feel no excitement for this world cup. I'll watch the England games and maybe Ecuador, but I'll not watch anything else. Also, I know it is only small and insignificant, but I have been avoiding the purchase of any world cup branded items, although I have not gone as far as boycotting the...

    [Albion] Molineux

Molineux is a funny one - I used to live around the corner. It was rebuilt between 1988 and 1992 and was the first stadium to be fully rebuilt after the Hillsborough disaster. As an upshot of that, there was room between the pitch and the stands for emergency vehicles. Other stadia since then...

    [Football] England new shirts

I haven't bought an England shirt since the 2010 World Cup, and wanted the away shirt as soon as I saw it. Based on the price, unless SportsDirect discount it (as they sometimes do), I'll give it a miss. As someone else said, there are some really nice retro versions of the 1970 World Cup...
