England likely to have blown their 9/4 chance by the close.

You watch Ali throw his wicket away before 6 overs are bowled.
Ali to top edge a sweep off the 5th ball he faces or, if he is really concentrating, he will slap one straight to point for 15.

When was the last time England chased 284 batting last to win a Test? Answers on a scroll please...

Very harsh to slate England's performance here. They could easily have won the first test and had Stokes been able to bowl in the second innings here we'd be chasing 50 less. Typical English collapse cost us the second test

The difference between the sides is Pakistan have a quality spinner, we don't. There's not much we can do about that, not sure Ansari would have made much of a difference.

We'll murder them over here in the summer.

Moeen Ali slaps it to the boundary.

England have been backed into 11/8.

That is their supposed odds of chasing this 284, not the score...

After that first over, Victor will only give you 5/4 now.

A couple more boundaries from Moeen and we'll be odds on.

Edit: Ladbrokes 11/10

Around the 300 mark and we have a chance with a good start so as suggested perhaps Cook and Bell to open.

Good start? Moeen Ali is averaging 12.80 in this series and there is immense pressure on both him and Cook. Bell has no tons, one fifty in 5 knocks this series as well as a hatful of dropped catches. After Root we have a rookie in Taylor, and Stokes is hors de combat. If England pull this off it will be their highest ever run chase in Asia. I'm not holding my breath...

Moeen has taken a nasty blow to the back of the helmet/neck... taking his time to recover... hope he is alright??

Seems to be OK to continue... hopefully he has a clear head as it will definitely be needed in the heat of the chase.

15-0 (2 overs) flying along!

Cooks average for series at 96 and Bell's 39.5 would get us almost halfway there.

Cook's career 4th innings average is 35.6.
