Ask for Mackail-Smith, you can't replace that work rate easily but Ashley Barnes effectively scored 4 goals on the weekend. If CMS hadn't been pondering about he wouldn't have scored and people would have been right on his back saying get rid today. If Gus has a striker lined up then sell him and laugh all the way to the bank having made potentially 2 million on a STRIKER who has scored 2 in 10 games average for us over FIFTY games. Glenn Murray, half the work rate, twice the goals. Yes, yes at a lower level but you see my point. We need a goalscorer not someone who runs about and claps the fans a lot. Lovely, lovely lad but sell him.

Where did you get that impression? Gus has only ever said that he does not have the money to meet the cost, not that it is not available.

So you haven't noticed that we have been trying to sign a striker with presence for over a season? That this is almost certainly mainly down to wages, rather than transfer fees?

No surprise there. I think we overpaid for him in the first place.

How to get a striker for £9 K a week wages. Needs a promotion bonus.

We can't pay more on a long term contract because even if we wanted to the new rules for living within your means come in next season. 25 first teamers only in the squad and this excludes Sparrow and Vincelot.
