Could Tony Bloom put in an offer?
Do what I always used to do on Championship Manager back in the day, sign their good players for nothing, sell them a youth team player for £200m then walk away after throwing any games that came up in the meantime

Probably been mentioned on here before but won’t the crazy Greek at forest feel his team should get the Europa spot given he placed his shares in Olympiakos in a holding fund to avoid any issues.

If I were him I’d be livid if palace can ignore the policy and get away with it.
My understanding of the situation is that Marinakis was actually in charge at both Forest and Olympiakos, whereas Textor is very much not in charge of the day-to-day running at Palace. In fact, he has been looking to sell his share of the club for months precisely because he is unhappy with his lack of control.

How much is 6 games in Europe worth to CPFC2010, really not that much.

Why would Textor want to engage in a fire sale, would seem pretty dumb from a business point of view.

CPFC2010 are one of many investments, it’s just business . He’s no Tony Bloom

Really wouldn’t want a bloke who doesn’t understand the simple ownership rules wanting more control would you ?

Sounds like Textor has been trying to sell for a while because he can't buy more shares (as @ThePaddy says), and not just because of the UEFA issue.

Quotes from Textor, after the hearing:

‘Look, all of the UK knows that I don’t have decisive influence over Palace. It was a good meeting. They listened and we'll see what happens. I wouldn't be trying to sell (this stake) if I did.’

‘We are trying to help separate it and sell. We wanted to buy but it’s become clear that isn’t going to happen and so we’re trying to help Palace and the situation with UEFA. That’s about all I can say.’

I've heard that because Palace was quoted in Samuel Pepy's diary they can trace their origins back to 1665. :)
We can dig deeper than that!

Well not quite true, Textor has been looking to either sell or increase his share to gain more control.

A club who cheated to get where they are twice and spent money they didn’t have - yet got away with keeping their place in the football league (as any true football fan knows, anything they do since doesn’t count) - are we really expecting anything but them to get away with cheating again? Of course they will. It’s the palace way… 2010 version.

Sadly it’s in the DNA of the club
