A world without America

Which will bring us back to DOH!.... I mean America;
Whatever people might say about a world without that big chunk of a continent, they have made a significant impact and difference to the World as we know it. As Britain basically started colonising that area, they are not too far removed from other colonies in that they speak our language and are now allied with us. If shit hits fan for this nation, would the Australian cavalry come over the hill to sort things? Hmm.
The problems the US have, is that in their own ways they have tried to design a world that suited them best, instead of an America that best suited the world. Whenever the balances are upset enough abroad, they find themselves having to get embroiled in those issues. Not that we haven't had our share of that in the past either, in trying to maintain a commonwealth, sorting Zulus and Ghandi, and having to take on Argentina more recently.
The trouble is, that if a nation try to live autonomously without troubling itself about the world around it, then the world will likely come to that nation and start something anyway.
