This rewriting of history blows my mind. At this stage, Weiffer’s been our most underwhelming summer signing for me, by quite some distance. And that’s saying something.
He improved us second half, there’s no doubt about that. But he’s not done enough since Welbeck’s injury to he in the first 11.
Plus, Georgino’s better.
Haven’t had luck? We’ve been incredibly lucky at home this season. Just last week we arguably should’ve had our best striker sent off. First game of the season we had Man Utd defending their own shots on our goal.
The biggest problem we had at the West End production was the audience. We had, without exaggerating, 3 groups around us who were talking constantly, and one group who were let in half way through the first act and proceeded to talk for 10 minutes as they got organised.
Being that Brit, I told...
This was a prime Albion performance. Dominate a game, the opposition gk has a worldie, miss tons of chances, get some luck, then manage to chuck the game away through awful game management.
I had it about 18 months ago. 5 days of basically sitting on or vomiting into the toilet, then drinking just enough water to rinse and repeat the cycle. There’s absolutely nothing pleasant about it.
The joy of football. One man’s Barco is another man’s Weiffer.
For some balance, in 300 minutes, of which 3 were starts at the end of the year in an imbalanced, injury riddled side, he was making more tackles than JPVH, as many interceptions as Veltman and Baleba, whilst rarely being dribbled...
A very strange decision on the face of it.
I assume he’s done the dirty with someone’s daughter/wife/gran and they’ve decided they don’t want him around.
Otherwise it’s a baffling decision for a 20 year old with such a good reputation, so soon after he arrived.
Ancelotti, Zidane, Guardiola, Luis Enrique, Franck Rijkaard, Capello, Del Bosque… there’s been more than enough examples of great players becoming great managers, with these guys all recent CL winning managers.
Xavi recently won La Liga with Barca, Xabi Alonso won the Bundesliga with Leverkusen...
