@suspolfootball tweeted on 31st January 2012 "Tonight's attendance at selhurst 14,545 with 2720 #bhafc". The official attendance was given out as 17,271 but only 11,825 Palace fans were in the ground.

Thanks - I couldn't be bothered to try and find the specifics.

My numbers were also a fair bit out. Too much time/cider has passed since then.

Just rechecked the timeline , Palace had 11,828 inside Smellhurst (another 3 Nigels let in after the game started ?)

Figures are slightly rising!! 14558 with 2726 #bhafc

@NorthStandChat 2 figures are taken. 1 includes season ticket holders ( tax reasons) and the control room has actual numbers in ground.

You can take one of that figure of 11,825 as I was in the Palace end.

There were quite a few Albion fans in the home sections that night but the Nigels are adamant it wasn't more than a handful :lolol: As there is no definitive figure of Brighton fans where they shouldn't be , they have to be included in the paltry home number. :D

I can think of a fair few (just from people I know) who have said they won't go to Selhurst again because with all the restrictions, unpleasant environment, and idiots in attendance it's just a crap day out.

They are right though.
I'll always go, because I know it'll be a great feeling when we finally win at their place and i'm there (was on holiday for the 1-0). Beats celebrating in a pub for me. But take it all into account, ticket prices, the stadium, the inability to drink near the ground, the policing, the train situation.. i can continue, just makes it all very unpleasant.

Yes we did..we sold all our tickets last year and we have this year. Really dont know why you keep saying it when it is clearly wrong.

You may have sold them but you didn't fill it - for some reason a lot didn't turn up. Birmingham had the same allocation as you but took more to the Amex. Still it is outside your 25 mile comfort zone.:D

Lots of stories up here of Palace students getting tickets and passing on to others.

Must be true then - is every Palace fan a fuckwit or just those that spend their (significant) spare time posting on their rivals chatrooms?

So in effect they must be BHA fans because they don't just need a local address but also a previous home purchase record for at least 3-matches which sort of just blows your bullshit somewhat out of the window

Those stories are all made up rubbish. The albion are not selling student tickets ( this year ).

Only people with a purchase history can get them, so unless these palace students have gone to see the albion before, then it's just internet bragging.

Go onto our official site and find a reference to us selling student ticket at the Amex. Paste the link here. (You're going to fail in this quest - we've never sold a single student ticket at the Amex. Believe it or not, we know a bit more about the Albion than you do.)

There will be a small quantity next season for 'low demand' games. Palace will not be one of those, should we be in the same division.
