Easy. Man Utd's kids to beat Palace 10-0. Good to see Palace will be taking less than half the 11,000 they could have. We took about 2,000 more than they are to Villa.

You're not a Brighton fan are you? You've got "nothing against" Man United but you'd still rather Palace won? Absolutely insane logic.
Not really, I just don't give a toss about either club. Unlike a lot of others I'm not ABU, but my general view is always to support the underdogs, hence I hope Palace win. And also unlike a lot of others (and I'm backing away from TMLS as I type) for a number of reasons I don't have the same hatred of Palace as most of you do. To me they're A rival rather than THE rival.

A bit of a difference though isn't it? FA Cup vs League Cup - Saturday vs Tuesday night - Birmingham closer than Manchester - Game is on TV etc etc

For the simple amongst you. As we are realistically not going up nor going down Palace IS our season.

Man Utd have to win and not just win but f***ing SMASH them.

pogle's wood
Palace to be pressing & chasing for 70 minutes only for man u to step up a gear & put half a dozen past them ,leaving the scum knackered, low on confidence & facing the backlash from a derby side with 3 home defeats on the spin

Spouting rubbish I see. We're taking near enough 6,000 out of a 9,000 allocation. Not too bad considering it's 42 quid a ticket, on a Wednesday night with Rail and Immigration strikes.

I'd expect you'd probably take more like you did at Villa, but then again these are grounds which you haven't played at for donkeys years.

Brighton pubs will probably be packed to the rafters with "Utd" fans tonight, seeming as most of you support a Premier League team as well.

Ooh, touched a bit of a nerve there...a bit TOO defensive.

However, if it's facts you're after, you are taking 5,000, and you were entitled to take 11,000 under the competition rules (15 per cent, as Coventry did a few years ago in the same event). The fact you knew you wouldn't shift them is hardly United's fault. So, as stated, less than half what you could have taken.

Don't get so upset, you're just tinpot. If you want people to congratulate you on your massed ranks of 'ultras', you're on the wrong site.

You are a wrong'un................its Palace ffs
I hope palace lose every week, it puts a big grin on my face when they do.......but I also like to see the big teams get a smack in the eye once in a while, it's not ideal that it's palace doing the bashing, but given an oh so predictable mu win or palace, I'll go for the underdog.

Would it make me less of a wrong'un to hope both teams kick lumps out of one another, leading to several sendings off and season ending injuries? If so I'll take a slim palace win and a bloodbath/carnage.

Nah I'm just a bit of a Nigel when it comes to stats, that's all. We were allocated 6,000 with the option for 3,000 more. I suppose if we had sold those we'd have asked for more but that's not really here or there.

I sincerly doubt you'd have taken more with all the factors we have to deal with, taking 6,000 is nothing to be embarassed about.

I do get offended when you say Coventry's support is effectively better than ours though...that lot are abysmal!

Apparently earth is due one of these, if it's going to hit anywhere, then maybe Old Trafford just after kick off wouldn't be such a bad place..

I completely understand that, I would have said the same thing a few years ago (I couldn't understand anyone who wanted anything but the worst for them).....I guess I'm mellowing in my old age. I still hate 'em though

I still remember with great pleasure Utd putting 8 past them at their dump, many, many moons ago, a warm fuzzy feeling.
