[Football] Points Needed for Away Europa League games?

If our allocation is c 3k for Ajax and c 3.3k for Marseille can anyone please give us the likely number of points needed to guarantee a ticket?

Am assuming that Ajax will be in most demand as travel options are more and costs lower.

The club have little data to judge this on, which I suspect is why they have started this pre-order process to assess demand.
They've done a pretty good job over the last few years on judging demand.

I would assume that cost and distance will remove a few of the regulars from demand, but I would guess the Ajax game in particular will sell out quickly at Tier 2 (for Prem London games with 3k tickets). Even then I doubt all fans with that level of points would get tickets.

Hopefully the club get an option for more tickets.
Might be worth checking attendances for their first home game on september 21st.

Villa and City are on sale currently. Normal PL allocations are around 3k tickets.
Being in Tier one guarantees a ticket.
Tier one points required for these games are 256 and 253.
So, about that.

I don't know, but if there is high demand, I hope that the away allocations will increased
I wouldn't be surprised if our capacity for Marseille will be bigger if many want to go, as the Velodrome typically doesn't sell out, however I also think that is the match with the least interest.
Nevertheless, I would expect there should be more availability for Marseille than the other Europa League matches.

Yeah agreed will be a similar level to "guarantee" a ticket, but I suspect the OP really wants to know at what point do we think tickets will sell out.
Not sure what point United sold out, but it usually goes down to My Albion+, and the club have not taken full allocation at times I think.
There will be a much higher demand for Ajax than United.
I suspect it will sellout at a 250pt level.

The one unknown factor is how the extra restrictions on picking up tickets will affect the numbers of Tier 1 "attending".

At the time I also had a reasonable amount of disposable income (children and nursery fees have ended that) but even back then I think I’d probably have opted to do just one for the experience (probably Ajax). Assuming total costs of about £500 per away game I just think £1500 for three games would have been too much. Perhaps if my wife fancied a weekend away in Athens I might have have snuck that in as well.

My point being that the cost is surely going to affect demand and it will drop to much lower than 250 points for at least some of the games.

Take out the corporate and “ I don’t support Brighton but fancy an away trip to entertain my clients” people, will leave about 2000 of the 3000 tickets available….which will go to regular away fans.

Cos a lot of people have more money than sense. The same as those who spend £1000’s on corporate seats and tunnel clubs with little intention of attending themselves

I’m not saying they’ll deliberately take their allocation with no intention of those seats being used but may not think through the logistics of travel and having to be the named person on that ticket picking it up in Amsterdam

I suspect for this season, the cost will be seen as a one-off, must do, for enough people who will deprioritise other expenses to make it happen.

I have restricted the amount of away games I will do, this season so I can afford 1 of the Europa aways.

This plan is a little bit scuppered by the fact there will be 4 London away days in December this season!
Going to be a pricey few months up to christmas.

I suspect some of the London away games will go down to My Albion + levels this year.

Think tickets will go a lot further than people think.

How many of the top few tiers are parents with kids? Are parents going to take those kids out of school for a trip abroad? How many people are going to have the money for all 3 trips, especially in the run-up to Christmas?

They’ll be people who probably won’t be able to get the time off work in the busy period before Christmas too, I’m sweating on getting Ajax off tomorrow and I know others who may struggle to get time off too.

Personally think they’ll probably be ~1000 ticketless Brighton fans in Amsterdam but Marsaille & AEK Athens will be much less of a rush. I wouldn’t be surprised if AEK doesn’t sell out tbh, flights had shot up to £500 at one point and there aren’t many other options. It’s a lot of money.

1901 membership is the same as a ST. They accrue LP based on away attendance and cup games like everyone else
