Worrying but as the BNP will never win a seat in parliament it isn't the end of the world.

God bless first past the post.

The BNP may very well be the answer if the question is 'The best political party for using racism and xenophobia to prey on, generally, working class people's fears about their future when in fact education, training and not blaming everyone else for their shortcomings is the way forward'.

there you go ,stereotyping people,so you're saying people are making a rod for their own backs and no one else is accountable for what is going on in the country

In a large part, yes. The current downturn isn't their fault and I am the first to admit that Politicians and the financial institutions have a lot to answer for but blaming immigrants is an easy excuse for people who aren't happy with their lives.

The BNP blame the government not the immigrants

especially if 'their lives' include having their wages undercut massively and the demographics of previously stable communities altered beyond recognition in 10 years of this free for all. what silly chavvy people. we hate them and their tedious common ways earning more plastering or chippying than we do when we have got a social policy degree from brighton 'university' and have been to the notting hill carnival. scum. do they not have any Nigel Slater books,I bet they all eat oven chips too.

My god you are a socialist (not a national one either)!

Before you go off on one, I was brought up on a council estate and never went to University, don't own any Nigel Slater although not that keen on Oven Chips. I am the first to agree that if an industry has enough people to do the work then the door should be shut to non-EU immigrants. The reason I say non-EU is that more British working in Europe than vice versa so leaving that agreement would be an own goal.

I am only mucking about mate having lived in 2 wards with BNP councillors I know the reality of it, I am not fantasising about a return to 30s Britain where community spirit outweighed the threat of rickets. This current debate is usually just the perennial British class war writ large. A large BNP vote in a ward is generally re arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic in my experience. I am no fan of them by a long stretch. There are better ways of dealing with this. My only hope is that they will bring this debate into the mainstream. Unfortunately all I see is mainstream political parties in my area leaping with both feet into the politics of race, one sidedly.

I am not having a pop at you mate, just at the thinly veiled class snobbery that comes on the back of a BNP debate. Obviously I got you wrong, apologies. People have had their communities shattered. They are thick chavs who dont know how to deal with it or articulate it properly, f*** them they smell. I am not under threat from immigration I'm alright jack. Its that attitude I hate. Failure to understand and to condemn, whilst seeming to protect economic migrants from the threat people feel the residual indigenous population offers them, form afar, marginalises people further, polarises people and stifles debate.

f*** me I just read that back and its f***ing boring. Nibble The Action Hero there must be enough mixed metaphors in there to keep you going for a month mate. I need a proof reader perhaps a slimy low life journo with a taste for Sussex bitter can help me.

Not in the next election but the one after may be.
I think it depends on how UKIP are doing at the time , if they are struggling , many of their supporters will switch tactically and vote BNP as the aims of both parties are broadly similar.

The BNP blame the governmemt FOR the immigrants ,thus creating fear and division.

Of course they blame the government for immigration because succesive governments have allowed immigration without letting the British people decide. as for creating fear and division you don't need the BNP for that. Why do asians dislike blacks for example is it because of the BNP?

UKIP is not nationalist at all its a libertarian party, they welcome those from other cultures and countries but ask that they meet our needs and intergrate first as other Countries like Austraila or Canada ask of the same thing and this is what UKIP is offering the country now.

, and anti-EU not anti Europe, they believe in an agreement similar to what Norway and Switzerland enjoy with the EU through the EEA and EFTA. BNP don't want any of that.

Only problem with UKIP is although they have a good leader in Farage too many people esp linked with the party go on about the EU too much.

You are not usually guilty of that, but that's a really sweeping statement.

... even the terms "asians" and "blacks" are sweeping statements in themselves.

Sorry mate but I was just trying to use an example that the problems in this country are just not a simple black and white issue. I know quite a few people from different ethniic backgrounds and believe you me there is quite a lot of resentment between the different races.
