Anybody remember the trip to Plymouth in the late 80's with a de-tour via Yeovil on the way back?

Great day. Ian wouldn't let the coach driver leave Yeovil until me and dear old Larry H and been found staggering around the town not knowing where the F... we were. He came out in a police car to find us telling the copper we never left a man down. Lorry shook a can of lager up and sprayed the back of the police car drivers head and made out it was an accident. Christ times were different then and they just wanted us out of town.
Earlier in Plymouth the top copper came on our coach and said he wanted rid of us so count up how many were missing from the coach. 45 Someone shouted as we were still having with the Plymouth down the road.
Then there was the roundabout incident before the game- but that's for another day.

Two entirely different topics being discussed in this thread, one about hooligans and the other about the changing face of London. It made me smile especially when EDS contributed to both threads one post after the other on page 15.

Anyone go back to Oldham games in the 70s the OB Counting our fans as they got on the front of the coach and they just jumped out the back window. The OB wondered how many we had on our coach! A pitch battle was going on the waste ground behind the car park. I not sure if this was the same game the Bosun ran on from the half way line. The grey sells are failing these days.

our minibus got atttacked in the car park, they even tried to push it over until the driver sped off,he definately clipped one of them
i was in the passenger seat and this oldham bloke was going absolutly nuts trying to get the door open, fortunately he didn't,i reckon i would have got seriously hurt, they were rabid,at least 100 of them

on a lighter note, when we picked up the minibus we had to give assurances that it wasn't for football,my uncle took it back on the monday and it was full of dents

Wannabe lads starting a thread that inevitable leads to former lads reminiscing about the old days.

It was the same game,a 1--1 draw, recall someone saying throw the slates first and the rocks as we get closer:moo:

4 of us climbed out of the away end that day and walked along the side stand terrace and up to the Oldham end, had a chat through the fence to some of them who said they were going on the pitch at the end that was when Bosun came on and they also turned up at the train station afterwards getting out of a van which had unsecured plastic seats in the back:D
