Not according to the plans.

The corporate boxes are in the South Stand. The area to the sides of the ESU are wheelchair viewing platforms - room for 32 wheelchairs, plus 32 helpers.

Well I for one think its a DISGRACE. Excluding PROPER fans, to accomodate fancy facilities for fat cat wheelchair users, and their so called 'helpers'. Sack the board.

so it may be a bit like the bit in the corner at old trafford. 64 people is 32 each side of the seats so it may need two row platforms at each end. Either way they will be slightly raised and will 'fill' the area. It's not like they'll be left empty - there will be fans there albeit one or two rows.

Ah, that makes sense, great that raised wheelchair viewing platforms are being provided. I know it is an issue that has been raised by people on here.

Each section with their own disabled facilities and dedicated kiosk.

Has anyone got the image of the East stand drawings from the Southampton programme to compare to this new image because I am sure it looked pretty different?

It is a computer generated image but let's hope it's wrong, it looks terrible.
Someone needs to get onto the club asap about this to confirm if this is the design. If it is, it must be changed.

Get on to them quick!

Once you've given them your opinion and pointed out how wrong they are then I'm sure they'll rectify their silly mistake

Can't lie that it doesn't look as good as the previous computer drawings where it was all seating in those areas. But if they are top class facilities for people in wheel chairs then fair do's - proud the club are providing the best for them. If they're corporate boxes then I'd be disappointed.

And it still looks a million times better than it does at the moment!

I think there needs to be some reality here from people. Okay the graphic could have been better by explaining what is in those areas, but given how BEAUTIFUL the stadium is currently do people really think things would be done that are substandard? The west stand may well be not as symetrical when the extra curves of the middle tier and extra boxes go in but it will be done the best way possible/

Right, this was the line drawing in the programme.

As you can see, the platforms / boxes are there at either end.

The club have replied on the FB page with "Either side of the East Stand upper tier will be two platforms which will accomodate disabled supporters"

Right, this was the line drawing in the programme.

Be good if they could paint them blue! Rather than have the dull grey concrete look

It's not concrete, it's currently Gyproc style plasterboard, as shown by this picture. I assume it's coming out to be replaced by glazing.

Someone's not very good at using photoshop! From the plans the upper east over hangs the lower east by some way.................just like the west stand. This doesn't show up at all in the image. There is also glazed frontages going in to replace the small square windows. Yes there are dents either side of the upper east but the seating is much more prominent on the plans...........in other words DON'T PANIC!

The architects know what they are doing and i'm confident they wouldn't sod it up at the 11th hour
