What a f***ing load of old shit. All this bragging and bravado makes me laugh. The end of the season is the time for us to brag and you lot to be brave. After all I firmly believe that you will do ok in the third division.
None of our senior players will be leaving unless a ridiculous offer comes in - as confirmed by our manager and our chairmen. Premiership clubs have been sniffing around Speroni, Clyne, Zaha and Ambrose. We rejected bids for Ambrose (QPR), Speroni (Fulham, deadline day in January), Zaha (Fulham - £2m and KG) and Clyne (countless clubs)
I have never said that Murray as is as good as CMS you idiot. I said that Ambrose is better. Murray is clearly not as good, but he is better than Hoskins and Barnes.
Occupied for CPFC for financial - not footballing - reasons. We were in the playoffs before our deduction.
Bridcutt had a trial with us and was turned down because he wasn't as good as any of our other midfielders.

Clyne is our best defender and certainly better than Calderon - but I'd wager that McCarthy is better than Greer and Moxey is better than Painter. Every player is our squad bar Murray has a lot of Championship experience - Clyne has played over 100 games and he's only just turned 20!
You get that on all fans forums. The reason i came on here in the first place is because i read a lot of deluded and arrogant bollox from a fair amount of poster's and i wanted to bring a few down to earth.
Definitely. Looking forward to it.the Championship is a bitch of a league and you will find it fairly tough looking at your present squad (same applies to us)
Nobody here, not one, thinks we are as big, let alone bigger, than West Ham. Our future will be different to theirs, a lot is unknown because we don't know what ground they'll be in, whether the fans will sit outside a running track etc. But he didn't sign for the money, we're not splashing more cash around than the other teams in the devision. It's perfectly reasonable to think that CMS prefers Poyet's style of footy to Fat Sam's. It's also reasonable to want to play for someone who has real faith in him, and has done for some time. The arrogance quite honestly is amazing, you are like the Chelsea of The Championship. To think that CMS turned down West Ham for you because you are a bigger club or have a better future is rubbish, he went for the money (just like Murray) end of.
The most knowledgable Palace fan I know says you've got no money to spend on new players. If that proves to be wrong, you still can't blame us for assuming you don't have money spare. There's also way to much crap going about Palace on here, we do have money to spend as i have proved but most of you seem to ignore that
Has the season started already? Because we're in the market for quite a few more players yet.ask any neutral who's squad they would rather have at time of writing and i think most would pick ours.
All sets of fans are going to post some nonsense about each other. You have to choose whether to take the bait, whether to be one of the stirers, or whether to rise above it all and post sense. It's your choice. But please don't try to make out you are now light years ahead of us. We have a new stadium in the pipeline, an amazing academy and in CPFC2010 owners who care about the club and will run us within our means for once.
I agree that we managed 18.5k due to it being a new ground, promotion, and stylish football. But with our manager and the current investment, I'm not sure it will drop in a year.Your 18,500 season tickets is an excellent acheivement but it has coniceded with the promotion and the football that Gus has got you playing. I would expect your attendences to level out to about 15,000 in a year or so. You have to admit quite a few new fans have jumped on the bandwagon...
As to who got the better value, that is indeed debatable. But we're not arguing about value, we simply believe we got the better player out of those two (PS, I thought it was 8 league goals difference?).The CMS/Murray debate, we could go on and on all week about it. Again, we won't know who has got the better deal until next season but i stand by my view, considering we got Glenn on a free and you spent £3 million CMS, i think we got better value considering there was only a difference of 5 league goals this year.
Yes I expect so.I'm sure if i meet most of you one on one for a pint and a chat over the game that we all love you would be decent people and you would think the same about me.
KG is South Africa's captain who Fulham paid £5m for last year. We've managed to get him for £600k-£800k
Firstly, which is it 600 or 800? Have palace got two sets of books? what am i asking??!!!! sorry mr taxman!
Secondly, is a players value being cut from £5m down to 600k within a year worth bragging about? Like my car... was worth £30000 when new, but I got it after the smash for £3.75!!
I'd wait until I'd seen Murray in a side with no service and on a losing streak,( & it will happen ,probably sooner rather than later) before I'd make any judgement on who he is or isn't better than. I dont think you palace fans really know much about him do you?
& if your players are so good why were you scrambling around in the bottom six all year. DONT BOTHER WITH THE "IT WAS ALL BURLEYS FAULT , HE WAS A PISSHEAD" excuse.

We were shit last season because we were crippled early on by a very poor manager, with very poor tactics using players in completely the wrong way. He didn't spend any of the money that was given to him, and was all round clueless, which is why he was sacked shortly after Christmas. We were completely screwed until Freedman came in and we managed to hit a run of form that would have seen us finish comfortably midtable, including 9/10 consecutive home games without conceding.
Our academy is exceptional, producing Premier League players like Ben Watson, Tom Soares and Victor Moses, and players who will soon be there like Clyne and Zaha in the last few years. It's quite exciting to know that you have a player on your hands who has a great chance of becoming Englands first choice right back. We have had one shit season that was down to our poor manager for the first half.
Our manager is relatively untested, but is young, hungry and has a very experienced assistant. He is learning very quickly. The away form was a mental problem, as the home form was so good. We had one of the best home records in the League, and the worst away record. This isn't due to our manager or the skill of our squad, it's all in the mind.
Our ground is hardly falling down - and we'll be leaving it at some point in the next 5/6 years anyway.
The Arthur Wait Massiv are relative unknowns at Palace - the HF are the "big boys" who actually organize things. Like this, for example, http://www.rednbluearmy.co.uk/Reports/2010-11/ReportHeaderTemplates/HF%20Display.jpg
We currently have a better playing squad than you do. We have a manager or unknown skill. We have a board that have given Freedman a budget bigger than Swansea's and Norwich last year (whatever that was) and he hasn't spent much of it yet.
Stop being so arrogant, we've been around for much longer than you have and you've got a lot to prove in this League.
I have no idea whether Burley was a pisshead - however our position WAS his fault. This was proven when Freedman took us from our position 4 points inside the relegation zone in January to 6 points clear at the end of the season. Freedman was frustrated because we weren't able to risk playing the football he wanted - so instead we ground out 1-0 wins and 0-0 draws. Eventually, we got very good at it (at home at least) This won't be how we play next season, according to the manager and his assistant. It was a "needs must" approach.
Long-term injuries to 3 of our best players obviously didn't help either. Nor did the disastrous mental block on our away form. Remember - as bad as our away form was, we were nigh unbeatable at home after Freedman took over - beating Cardiff, Leeds etc.
Those are the reported fees in different papers you idiot. We can't know for certain as we haven't seen the books
Yes - we must learn to fiddle our books to gain an unfair advantage and shaft the St. Johns Ambulance.
And no doubt the 287 away fans you took to Swansea was a misprint and when your avaerage home attendance falls again that will be AFC Wimbledons fault for being a league club in your patch again
And you say Albion fans are deluded.
Losing to Scunthorpe![]()
We do say you're deluded - you showed why in that post!
St John's Ambulance were paid in full.
We took 287 fans to Swansea on a midday kickoff on a Sunday that was on Sky, while we had the worst away record in the football league.
Our average home attendance increased quite significantly last season. We averaged around 15500 and reached 20K+ on a number of occasions.
You make this so easy!
Where do you think you'll finish next season? Where do you think Brighton will finish? You seem very confident in your side and deride us for being confident in ours.
Losing streak? No service? I'd love to know how you know all of this. From the state of our squad and the moment and the likely improvement after a few more signings, I think a long losing streak is quite unlikely.
I'd also like to know how you think he'll have no service - t
