I'm not a STH, thoug I reckon I contribute more to the club than the average STH. Should I get priority as well, or is just those that pay up front?

I very much doubt that my friend.

TLO - don't under estimate what has happened.

As is well known and I daren't deny it (joke) I have said a lot on this as it has pi$$ed me off big time.

Now it is becoming clear others perhaps less vocal or not so keen to say something are also as annoyed.

I am really worried about the fall out from this.

Maybe the attendance of a big away game may persuade some people to buy season tickets? Isn't this possible?

Upton Park is not a very pleasant place to sit with the home fans.

Even for the home fans...it's the only ground I have ever been to where metal detectors were set up airport style outside the ground. Every visiting fan had to go through the detectors and were treated like f***ing criminals. Granted, it was in the early 90s but that alone made my decision not to apply for a ticket an easy one.

You didn't get a ticket, you threw a hissy fit, you've now got one.

For f***'s sake let it rest, won't you.

They would be doing it because they feel aggrieved. And yes, that is VERY easily justified..
Myself, I can't see the issue. No rules have been broken, the system was adhered to by the club, and, most importantly, everyone knew this when they bought their season tickets.

I know what people are saying, - the system itself is wrong. OK, that's one point of view, but then surely someone could have seen this scenario coming whereby some were going to miss out. Why was that not addressed by the fans and/or the club when this current system was introduced two and a half years ago? If it was seen that the system was wrong/unfair/whatever, why was it not spotted by SOMEONE?

Failing that, SOMEONE come up with a system which suits EVERYONE. Please.

Cardiff, playoff final.

Doesn't seem to have had any impact on ST numbers. Neither did the Spurs game.

WHU will probably be the same.

I am not stirring up anything just putting up a very robust debate that is quite true and being supported.

No I will not let it rest until the club accepts time to re-think.

That, in a nutshell, is that. The only problem is that a system that suits everyone is of course an impossibility.

You're stirring it a bit. You're banding it about that some are not going to re-new their season ticket. If people think they're the only ones not to re-new, they feel a bit sheepish and don't bother with that course of action. If, however, they think there is a groundswell exacerbated by fury, outrage and, um, fury, people might feel a bit more righteous and indignant, even though this doesn't have to be the case. Until that situation happens, it's not generally wise to comment on it.

Anyhoo, serious question: What is your resolution for next time?

Incidentally, what did Martin Perry say when you contacted him on this issue?

how about beach hut gets given a priority ticket as the biggest whinger and then any reasonable system (which the current one is) thereafter will probably be acceptable to most people without all these interminable threads?

It really is so f***ing f***ing boring.

Well I never thought it would be a big change, just as I doubt the number not renewing STs because they didn't get a W. Ham ticket will be big.

Do you have the ST numbers for the last few seasons?

Wanna do some basic maths? How much does the cheapest season ticket cost?

Yes but it's not about who contributes the MOST, it's about coming up with large sums of cash 6 months or so before the new season is even going to start! You might pay more every season, but you can eke it out over the course of the season, which is a lot easier.

The flaw with this as far as I'm concerned is that there are so many AMS members simply because of Cardiff and I don't see why these big game charlies should be treated equally with STH's. Of course there are a hardcore away support, and if it was possible to distinguish them from the AMS that only went to Cardiff or Spurs that would be even better. A lot of the regular away fans are also STH so there's even crossover there.

Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhh! That the point. The whole issue is NOT about financially supporting the club. There are plenty of supporters who financially support the club, and then take every opportunity to slag the club off because they believe they have paid for the right to do so. That's not loyalty in my book.

If it was purely about financially supporting the club, there are far more worthy causes than Season Ticket Holders who should have been at the front of the queue - sponsors, Friends of the Albion, advertisers etc. That would account for around 500 individuals at least. Actually, while we're at it, I reckon there should be a sliding scale as to the individuals who have contributed most financially to the club, as far down as the 5,000th most generous person, and we'll allocate tickets that way.

To my mind, Season Ticket Holders have NOT been treated badly, unless they wrongly believe they have automatic right to away cup games. Season Ticket Holders were never promised an away ticket for big cup games. NEVER. When they do promise it, then I'll moan.

Sponsors etc wouldn't be drawn to the club if there wasn't a club and there wouldn't be a club if the bloody STH's didn't cough up months in advance to secure the clubs existence each season. That's why they should have priority, coupled with the twin facts that you can't measure away loyalty nor does it contribute to the club. And yes I do bloody well believe we should have priority or have I missed the million pound signings, the oyster bars, the exec.boxes that isn't the cash-strapped reality of playing at Withdean? FFS. I'll probably get a ticket in the West Ham end, and at this rate I'll be cheering for them!

This club is such a bizzare one to support so it really shouldn;t be any surprise we have a bizzare ticket policy in most other clubs fans eyes.

STH or nothing for exceptional games after this otherwise the club will lose out on renewals.

The facts are that the club adhered to its stated ticket policy.

I read many of your posts on this subject, (most of which I disagree with ),and I,m probably wrong, but aren,t you supposed to be involved in education in some form, therefore presumably having some intelligence...?? but can I inform you,....the club DID NOT adhere to it,s stated ticket policy......it gave priority to the JPT Millwall stub holders. (Incidentally I was one of those....so I,m not whinging about something I didn,t get). This club seems to change it,s mind at the drop of a hat on ticket arrangements, reminds me of a headless chicken in its organisation.

Wrong answer and getting pathetic and personal.

It has to be fairer to STH otherwise no renewals and then the club is in deeper shit than at present.
