Spot on - and even a couple of hundred STHs not renewing will hurt the club - wheras a couple of hundred AMs who have got WHU tickets but might not have done under a differernt system won't be investing their cash in the club in Feb/March but will wait for the next big game to go to.

Some of you who continue to try to justify the system are those who see far too much through blue and white tinted glasses, and for whom the club can do no wrong. One or two of you have got your tongue's so far up Martin Perry's arse it's quite pathetic.

I hate people who say this but.... 'what he said.' :clap2: :clap2:

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! The whole issue is about financially supporting the club and the fact many AMS don't necessarily contribute in this way UNLIKE many STH who have been treated so poorly. It doesn't 'count for F*** all' if you're measuring your customer's financial loyalty for which buying an 'away' ticket is worth precisely £0.00 to BHA whether you pay in advance or on the gate. So you simply don't NEED to measure that.

I'm not a STH, thoug I reckon I contribute more to the club than the average STH. Should I get priority as well, or is just those that pay up front?

Well no real surprise shame you have the power to ban people as clearly it is in the hands of the wrong person.

Still keep massaging your ego as you say as it makes you feel much better.

How long till you ban me as I have stood up and put up a reasoned debate ?

The rules for banning are given to the mods in our secret training camp and are quite clear Beachy, and I adhere to them. No racism, no giving away personal details (as Adriandinho did with Zesh Rehman), and no gingers.

So why is it so 'clear' that the power is in the hands of the wrong person?

Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhh! That the point. The whole issue is NOT about financially supporting the club. There are plenty of supporters who financially support the club, and then take every opportunity to slag the club off because they believe they have paid for the right to do so. That's not loyalty in my book.

If it was purely about financially supporting the club, there are far more worthy causes than Season Ticket Holders who should have been at the front of the queue - sponsors, Friends of the Albion, advertisers etc. That would account for around 500 individuals at least. Actually, while we're at it, I reckon there should be a sliding scale as to the individuals who have contributed most financially to the club, as far down as the 5,000th most generous person, and we'll allocate tickets that way.

To my mind, Season Ticket Holders have NOT been treated badly, unless they wrongly believe they have automatic right to away cup games. Season Ticket Holders were never promised an away ticket for big cup games. NEVER. When they do promise it, then I'll moan.

Well for a start no gingers is wrong - what about Dwayne ?

I am not going to carry on a row with a known WUG as it is a waste of both our time as we are old enough to know better.

I have one opinion (along with quite a few others) and you have another (along with quite a few others).

As I have said before the proof of this shambles will really come out in a few months when STH are requested to renew and I believe the numbers will be a lot lower than last year.

I thought there might be a benefit to spending £450 a year upfront to watching the famous blue & white stripes. Obviously not.

For those that say
1) you get to watch the home games for £3.50 cheaper, I say the club are getting my money 6 months in advance.
2) You are guaranted a home cup ticket - I say thats why a large % buy a season ticket, and that a ticket to an away cup game was also reason for why a large % also bought.

Anyway, whats done is now done. I now have a choice as do 2000 other STH's.

Do I renew my ST? I have a good seat location, but on the otherhand if I didn;t renew, I could pick and choose my home games as the attendances are dropping like a stone. I could go to a lot more away games where the atmos is so much better. I don't have to find the £450 in one lumpsum. I get the same chance of ticket for big games as anyone else.

So do I renew? Does my love for the Albion outway the above clear advantages for not renewing.

From a club perspective, surely they would want my money in 3 months time - or not given the above ticketing policy. I'll decide in March when we are charging for the Play offs!!!!!!!!!:smokin:

    You are not alone in your valid opinion LBTS. And I think opinions like yours are actually carry more weight because looking at your post count, you're more in the silent majority camp who don't spend their lives on NSC telling everyone their opinion eg you feel aggrieved enough to write something on this debate. Collectively it's these fans who might not renew, without fuss, and the club and any sensible fan should be worried about.

Love the way you're getting a thorough bollocking about reasoned debate by the bloke who threw his toys out the pram because he didn't get a WHU ticket.

I didn't either but hey ho, that's life.

Fair comment Beachy, if I had known you were WUG and a Joy Division fan I would not have got dragged into this.

As for Dwayne, Gingers with dead sisters are given special dispensation to post on NSC.

See you at West Ham

Yes, but 'a couple of hundred STHs not renewing' would be doing it out of spite. Can anyone justify that?

There's nothing really to try and justify. You're working on the assumption that the club has got it wrong.

Nor has there been a shambles, aside from the disgraceful abuse the Ticket Office staff have had to suffer from impatient 'fans'.

How does that work then?

Serious question.

I buy a ticket for most game and I buy one for the old man when he's in the country.

Remember STH get a discount. The earlier you apply the greater the discount.

My point is this - if you want to say STH are the most important people because they contribute the most then be prepared for other people to pipe up and say something like, 'Hang on, I gave £1000 to A&K!, I want priority.'

People who only go to games like W.Ham, Spurs, the Play-off final are very rare. Lots of people contribute to the club and I think it's great that they're valued as well. By all means change the rules, but it will just leave a new set of people disgruntled.

The facts are that the club adhered to its stated ticket policy.

They would be doing it because they feel aggrieved. And yes, that is VERY easily justified.

It is not for you or I to pass judgement on any fan deciding against renewing their season ticket...

It will be a complete betrayal of thousands of non-season ticket holders if the system is changed again to ensure that ALL season ticket holders can get a ticket to a big game, and VERY FEW non-season ticket holders stand a chance of getting one.

Any system of queue management will penalise people who join the queue late. What is meant by "late" will always depend on the circumstances.
Perhaps you are right.

Somehow, however, I think you are echoing the complacency that the club has towards regular home fans and the whole issue of declining support.

As regards the late application argument, the earliest out-of- Sussex fans could get an application in was at the Swansea game or Wednesday's post. That might have been too late.

And the stubs for Northwich and Stafford were disregarded - an opportunity to reward loyalty missed!

I've got a ticket but feel a lot of loyal supporters, including non-STH, have been treated pretty shoddily. Upton Park is not a very pleasant place to sit with the home fans.

TLO - don't under estimate what has happened.

As is well known and I daren't deny it (joke) I have said a lot on this as it has pi$$ed me off big time.

Now it is becoming clear others perhaps less vocal or not so keen to say something are also as annoyed.

I am really worried about the fall out from this.
