For all we know he may well have signed or indicated that he is going to sign but is held up with his wife having a baby and him being with her.

Is exactly the right answer. Why people are looking beyond that is staggering me!

I'd be a bit worried if one of europes finest didnt come in and snap up the spanish matador .

His best mate has just signed for us. I think we're alright.

That's 3 Champions League players in a row now, not too shabby eh?

Brian Owen from the Amex press conference

"Bruno spoke of his close friendship with Vicente. The families get on well and both had new additions recently "

says it all............................................................... as if we needed confirmation that Vicente will be back

Surely the clearest indication yet... it all now makes sense... his wife possibly didn’t want to be here “on her own” so Poyet moves heaven and earth to bring his mate over whose family happen to be great friends too, a support network for her and her kids... Vicente happy, wife happy, kids happy, Poyet happy, Bloom poorer, BHA fans ecstatic – job done!

"Personal situations" with Vicente likely to involve his recently arrived son Sergio. Gus: "We will see what happens in the next few days."

I think the signing of Bruno Saltor yesterday, is a pretty clear statement that Vicente is staying. So be patient......

yep 100% sure he'll stay, Theyre best mates so no doubt last season Vicente would call his mate back home and tell him about Brighton and how they had treated him.

No doubt that Saltor wouldve had offers in Spain even if a slightly lower club, but when Brighton came in (who he probably new nothing about except what his mate told him), there is no way in my mind Saltor would have signed for Brighton and committed his family to come here without first talking to his close mate vicente and guaging his intentions.

He would not have signed for us and turned down offers in Spain without chatting to Vicente, in the vague hope he may re sign.

He would likely know about Vicentes personal family issues (wife feeling isolated?) and has signed here because his mate has said he wants to come back. Saltors decision would largely be based on his close friend Vicente and his wifes friend (Vicentes wife) both being here.

Agree totally.

Spanish radio reporting that Elche (Spanish second division) are after Vicente - not substantiated though and they are TOO LATE. He is ours!

Según informa esRadio Elche, el director deportivo de la entidad ilicitana tiene en su libreta a Vicente Rodríguez, exjugador del Valencia de 30 años que milita actualmente en el Brighton & Hove de la segunda división inglesa.

Clause activated in contract. What the hell does that mean? Are we going to sell him or is he going to play for us?
