Why should the club rush out and get any striker this week? We have one game against a team at the bottom of the table on Saturday then a two week international break. It's obvious the best strikers will become available on deadline day. Unless you want us to get someone like Paynter again the club are doing exactly the right thing.

The problem we have is that CMS is expensive and out for another month or two. It can't be easy to find a striker prepared to play occasionally for two months because lets face it, once CMS is fit he will be second choice or even third behind Barnes.

Indeed, and we've been very unlucky with Hoskins. Decent strikers are notoriously expensive, so I'm guessing the development squad strikers/attacking midfielders/utility players are a better bet than another Barn Door Billy until such a time as we have our main strikers fit and/or can add someone of real value.

I'm not sure that's true. If we're going to play a shit, ineffective loan striker then I think I'd rather we just gave a run out to someone in the development squad.
