I have an old alarm clock that sets itself from the radio signal. It will change itself this weekend. And still be 7 minutes slow. I have literally no idea how that can happen but it has done for years.

I’d like Xmas to be in the summer. The Australians somehow seem to manage it so I don’t see why we can’t.
Imagine surfing after a big Xmas dinner with all the trimmings…….. no thank you.

We might have to let-out the board shorts a little bit but I reckon we'll be okay.
right let’s hit the Point break and and a double up on some beach breakers and then it’s back for a giant Yule log.

Yep same answer as before.

Keep the same general system but change the dates to first Sunday in March (rather than last) and 2nd Sunday in November (rather than last in October).

West is BEST
But above all I want to see a revival of corned beef sandwhichs with or without mustard.
I regularly have corned beef sandwiches. Sliced white and plenty of mustard.

Alive and well in my lunch pale on Tuesday and Friday night shifts.

The other shifts are turkey and coleslaw, ham and cheese or I’ll occasionally dip into Subway for a tuna melt.

Let’s get this f***ing party started.

Sorry. What was the question?

I think you'll find that it's spring forward, fall back.

And that puts us permanently out of sync with the common market, which is good enough for me.
I think you'll find "fall" is an Americanism, but clearly wouldn't work as a witty rememberance aid if substituted with Autumn...! :D

I am sure that, sometime in the late 70's/early 80's that the clocks were not changed for a few years. I think that they reverted to the previous system due to a rise in the number of dark morning accidents. Anyone recall this?.
I remember it. I had a paper round and had to carry a torch to work out which papers to deliver to which houses. My bike had dynamo lights which meant I couldn’t be seen when I was at junctions. I hated the whole thing and persuaded the government to revert to the old system.

Children going to school in Scotland were killed in their thousands.

Nope, fall is certainly English and was often used in Sussex until fairly recently.
Well you learn something every day, I thought the English generally used the Latin derivative from autumnus - autumn.

I'll stop cussing English people when I hear them using fall in future. You'll be telling me that gotten is ok in English next!

We did Christmas in Disney Florida quite a few years back and spent Christmas Day at Blizzard Beach in 80 degree sunshine. Weird. Didn’t like it.
