sadly i agree

I reckon that plan b is the worlds best kept secret, because if ANYONE found out about it it would quash the 'Falmer is the only option' argument.

I'm sure there is some sort of back-up plan in place. Knight and Perry won't just leave with a few thousand football fans on their backs, i'm certain of it - they'll at least find some sort of alternate 'hope'.

Having sat through the public inquiry and read every report on the days that I didn't go, I can assure you, you are wrong.

I don't mean that there is a plan B to build a 22,500 capacity stadium somewhere else though.

But i think Knight and Perry would probably have some sort of plan - maybe for a marginally redeveloped Withdean in order to bump the facilities/capacity up a BIT. Or something like that. But i don't believe they'd clear off and leave us in the lurch, with THOUSANDS of people furious with them!:)

There is a plan B should Falmer not be allowed. It involves the last person turning the lights out on the way out.

Withdean on the other hand is like going to hospital to visit a dying relative, and that is why so many people are voting with their feet.
Well it is gratifying that Mr Moderator is keen to ensure the club's survival.

We wouldn't get planning permission to stay at Withdean and it is crippling us now.

If there was an alternative then we wouldn't have spent millions on keeping going with Falmer.

We will be relying on the backing of the Blooms for a while now - I hope they have deep pockets to fill this void.

My guess is 3,500 STH maximum next season and I am afraid the club have directly bought this about in some instances others are just sick of Withdean.

As for Falmer, we will get it but I am afraid quite few more hoops to be jumped through.

I am afraid they are wasting 2 stamps, I will not be renewing becuase

1. I cannot take another season at Withdean
2. The football this season has been absolutely woeful not only
Albionb but all the oppsoing sides
3. Next season will be another mid division 3 outcome
4. I am not happy with the sacking of McGhee and the appointment of Willkins
5. I have had enough now of Falmer, 8 years and still no decision
6. There is no investment in the playing side and will not be next season
7. The sth's have been treated very badly and the cup game and general total lack of regard for the lifeblood is not on
8. 2 wins out of the last 23 homes games on a Saturday
9. You can pick and chose whatever game you want next season and not spend £ 1000 on 2 st's and if you cannot make a game you cannot even give them away

Apart from that I'd be quite tempted

Upon closer examination of my statement this morning

1. True
2. True
3. True
4. True
5. True
6. True
7. I still believe STH should be 1st in queue and given 3 days grace for big games, Cardiff, Spurs, West Ham etc
8. True
9. True

Anyway, I have total respect for anyone that renews and I cannot claim to be Albion's no 1 fan anymore but there is a general malaise around the club, Dick whom I regard as the 2nd greatest chairman this club has ever had and has my full support is however conspicuous by his absense, we need a Churchillian speech from him more now than ever before , but the facts are we have spent £ 10000 investment in the team over the last 12 months, Withdean and the never ending Falmer saga is the main reason for all this and the near 2 year delay LDC will have caused have done so much damage to the club it is impossible to measure.

Still thinking about renewal but it's highly likely that I won't renew as the friends I sit with have had enough.

It's bad enough sitting at Withdean but I'm damned if I'm going to sit on my own!

Anyway, as posted in many other threads, it easy to get tickets these days. I won't have to go to games on a wet Tuesday night.

I too am considering not renewing my season ticket, not because I didnt get a scarf, but after being a STH since the last season at Gillingham, I am just getting a bit bored, and want to do other things with my time.
What I do pledge to do, is to spend some of the money saved by doing this on the Albion, eg Heroes and Winners draw, etc. I will still get the occasional ticket. It will be my risk if things pick up, and I can get a ticket, or a ticket in as good a position as I currently have.
After 15 years of going regularly its time for something else.

The first time ever I think US has a point (or 9)

To say that none of them are the clubs fault is irrelevant as it is about not wanting to part with £500.00+ based upon the (valid)reasons given.

STH who chose not to renew should not be greeted with some of the comments on this thread.

Its about personal choice and maybe having better things to do with your time, that does not make you "dis-loyal"

Totally agree a personal choice and there are many good reasons not to renew of which some I am afraid sit firmly at the clubs door.

It will be very interesting to see what the club charge for renewals.

Perhaps we should try to put a positive spin on renewing. The reason to renew are.......

1. Discount
2. Guaranteed tickets for home cup matches, and better chance for away matches too to big games such as Orient.
3. Helping the club over the summer when it needs the cash.
4. Ability to sit with your mates.
5. Less hassle each week getting a ticket

Whether the above is worth £500 is of course personal choice and a function of your finances.

I used to have a ST but no longer do so, lots of others are the same, some are still STH.

I think that we all care about this club with a passion, and that is why it is still in existence, but when Albion legends such as Ernest are legitimately stating that it is only a pastime, then perhaps the writing is on the wall.

Football is not as much fun as it used to be, or perhaps our expectations have changed.

It is never fun at Withdean I am afraid.

Still when the non-STH blame the STH for having no club it will all be too late.

Never mind hell freezes over as well.

I think a lot of people who go in a group will start sharing a season ticket.

None of us lot want to go to every home game, but most want the opportunity of going to maybe half the matches. With 8 people all with season tickets about 3 tickets go to waste every match, so better to pair up and split the cost.

Hopefully we'll get some decent players in before deadline day and things will look better come Saturday.

Personally, I'm a bit f***ed off watching loan after loan and get the feeling players and managers are just passing through. We have a team with no leaders and unless the club sign some players in the Cullip / Oatway fighter mould we'll drift.
