The only thing which sould ever affect my decision to renew would be my ability to afford it.
The standard of football has never been relevant. (If it had been I would only have renewed in about 10 seasons in 40!)
Where we are playing at the moment is the fault only of certain gentlemen who have not been part of club for nearly 10 years. If I get wet then so be it. I know that our current board have done everything they can to take this club to a new ground and I am sure we will get there. That has taken so long is not their fault.
I did not agree with the WHU ticket policy but I don't consider that a reason not to renew.
The ticket prices are higher than they should be but cirmcumstances dictate that. Withdean is a huge drain (in many ways!) and the club have to tread the fine balance between too high ticket prices and too little revenue to cover that drain. Does anyone know where that balance should be? What figure brings in the optimum number of people for the best return? Unless you know that there is no point in guessing.
People have the right not to renew if they think that they are not getting the standard of football they deserve or the ground facilities they deserve.
But I don't think I deserve anything for my money but to see a ninety minute football match with my team playing - good or bad, rain or shine. When did any club ever promise more than that?
