Yes.....but the figures are, I believe for those that applied for tickets as opposed to total figures.

Please see my post above about uberfans. My first game was, I think, Bristol City in 1973. I was first a season ticket holder with my mate and his dad from about 1980.

You no doubt have been a season ticket holder since 60s/70s - anyhow no doubt longer than me. This is irrelevant though.

We both love BHA equally. The recent seasons I was not a season ticket holder, I did not get on this board and moan about STH issues as I always thought it a bit cheeky. This is the point of my jibe.

And I thought from your avatar that you were slightly less precious.

I'm not a STH this season as Stoke last year was the final straw , it's not about uberfans, superfans, megafans or whatever. At the end of the day football is a pastime, a hobby and not as some think life and death and I simply don't enjoy it anymore but I shall be back again next week as it is hard to get it out of your system.

My message to them is:

If you continue to follow them then I'll be very grateful.

Stop following them and I ain't gonna beg you (which is what you seem to want the rest of us to do). Kindly leave quietly and STOP THE f***ing WHINGEFEST.

Amen to that.

It's like, oh, I've got five hundred quid burning a hole in me pocket. If you make a very big fuss over me, and let me jump queue, I may deign to give you that five hundred quid, but only if you let me threaten you with withholding it in the run-up to renewal.

Disgusting behaviour.

I've a good mind not to renew because I don't want to be branded STH which is rapidly becoming synonymous with the term SELFISH twattwattwattwat

How?

As US seems to be silent perhaps you can explain how STHs are treated with TOTAL DISREGARD.

FFS - we are so close to getting Falmer, people.

Even if we are given approval, no doubt someone, somewhere will have the right of appeal. And so it will drag on and on and on and on. In some ways, I wish we lived in a less democratic society!

I cannot believe that grown men on here are arguing about scarfes and stating that as one of the reasons why they will not renew. Surely this was good marketing from BHA. BHA buy the scarf for say £1.50 so in actual fact it means that we sold another full price ticket minus the grand sum of £1.50. That's all it cost but has a higher percieved value. Petty argument of any STH. we moan that they are not putting bums on seats and so when they try we moan.

You'd like to think so.

Sadly, tho, it looks for all the world like the civil servants/Ruth Kelly have already formed the opinion that Sheepcote Valley needs a closer looking at. Which means we can more likely than not look forward to another three years in a formal talking shop discussing the relative merits of Sheepcote Valley and Falmer. Then another nine months waiting for the verdict. Then another year of objections. By which time Ruth Kelly will be long gone. And the next three or four ministers who come after her.

Better start building that roof on Withdean now.

Withdean on the other hand is like going to hospital to visit a dying relative, and that is why so many people are voting with their feet.

If too many heed your words and stay away from Withdean in favour of only going to away games then it won't be long before it will be visiting a dying friend-the Albion.

IMO prices for STs will have to be reduced considerably otherwise there will be a big fall off in numbers.

An average of £18.00 per match for adults and £12 for concessions might keep the numbers as they are - keep the current prices and next year will see the number of STH plummet.

The reason we have/had STs was to guarantee us seats - that of course is not now a problem, this year we've not been to 4 or 5 of the games so the 'advantage' cost wise of having a ST over buying them on a match by match basis is not an issue.

The club inversted in the extra seats, and then failed to supply the manager with the funds to get a striker in who could have kept us in the Championship, thus justifying the extra seats.

Sorry, but this combined with the complete f*** up over WHU tix means it's a no go for us next year.

UNLESS the prices are lowered .

we'll (3 of us) probably renew but this is the first season when I've seriously thought of not bothering and buying cheaper tickets per match - we know the deals will be available next season. I just hope the club shows some ambition in the next few days to revive my hopes.

The price of this season's STs were inflated in the hope of staying in the Championship - can't think what the sales pitch will be this time around.

Can they be lowered? How much of the ticket price is for travel?

I think it is £4.

Thank you, Yorkie.

It is a shame that the club are seen as the fall guys for our high ticket prices, yet we get trvael included. Without this, we would not be able to play at Withdean. I rarely use mine as I either walk or drive to my parents house. When I do use them, it is a damn sight more convenient than endless queues for tickets etc..

Well they haven't always been as high as they are now. The club is in an unenviable position - they have to lower prices or risk losing more season ticket holders, these prices were fairly expensive even for the Championship. But lower prices could also mean less money coming in, and we can ill afford to be losing any more than we are.

I really hope that the above is wrong......but it is a feeling I,ve had for some considerable time now. I realise that Dick Knight wanted to put pressure on the ODPM by saying there is no Plan "B"....but I,m beginning to think that he actually means it. If it,s true, then heaven help us......not the way to run a football club.

It's true and has been said all along. There is no plan B.

We cannot have a roof at Withdean due to planning permission regulations. Withdean is not a viable option.

Falmer or bust.

Hang on in there, we are near the final battle.
