Excellent. You've said your piece whilst making no attempt whatsoever to implement any of the actions you are demanding others do.

You're a real Man of Action, and I can only aspire to what day be as good as you are at telling-other-people-what-to-do-whilst-do-nothing-myself.

I think LB got the tone right. But you seem to be getting very angry when people are simply asking a few questions and offering a few tips or pointers. If my tone has been too abrasive I appologise. I am not doubting the hard work which has gone into this charity to date. But I feel some opportunities have been missed. At £65 a player surely you can see where mine and others comments are coming from? The PA announcer having to use this board to contact the organisers? Come on.

I wish you all the best tonight.

FYI: Holmesdale Radio will be providing audio commentary but not video as the person who would have been doing it can't make it for health reasons

It just feels a bit like someone standing watching the end of a marathon, shouting "come on, you could run a bit further, easily!" while scoffing a hot dog.

Talking of which is it is now sausage time for me.

Serious question, with no axe or whatever to grind either way, I've often wondered whether the 'stars' expenses are taken out of the monies raised ( for example, Peter Ward's flight) or paid by themselves?

I dont know the exact details but I think he sorts his own flights out.

Doesn't he work for an airline and get them free?

Can anyone 'officially' answer Socialist Sid's question regarding payment or not of the 'stars' expenses?

Wearing the stripes is a massive, massive privilege. If I were one of the lucky few, I'd be absolutely working my bollocks off to justify my spot. I'd be baking cakes and selling them at work, I'd be washing people's cars, I'd be doing anything I could to raise money for the charity as that's what this is all about. Playing football is but a by-product.

Ah, but would you think of sending out a group text / email with a just giving link on it?

All very distasteful and I cannot fathom what is trying to be achieved on the day of the event.

Some good points raised by both sides but to be publicly aired on this day when there is nothing that could be changed is wrong, it serves nothing other than to demotivate and, to be honest, leaves a bad taste ensuring that in future events participants and organisers alike will think twice for fear of public recriminations.

Its become standard sadly. Like you say, very distasteful.

Please don't let it put you off coming to watch.... :)

Maybe the "Annual NSC REMF Binfest" could be included as an official REMF event, and anyone wishing to participate could pay an entry fee...

Mrs Ward works for one of the main American airlines so I believe that's where his flights come from.
