Brain dead MUG SHEEP
A drive up to a rented driveway 20 mins walk away from the ground. Boxpark tickets (already secured) so hoping to get in there about 12ish. Around 3 hours of steady boozage, don't want to get sloshed (I'm not the driver). Then a mince along to the stadium to take in the atmos and wave my sponge finger around.
After the game - a hotfoot straight back to the car, then back down to the local for a few sherberts to round things off. I am not working on Monday.

A pint of Harvey's in the Market Porter before heading to Indian restaurant near the stadium for some scran. After the match, who knows? Last semi we ended up in a pub at West Hampstead before catching the train home. Don't know whether that will be the plan this time

I don't attend matches for health reasons. Big crowds and travel overwhelm me. It's a problem I've had for a few years. Although I did manage the Fulham home game this year (my first since Chelsea away in 2019), I would struggle with the stress of Wembley. I ended up giving away my ticket for 2019. It's the arm chair and Johnny and Warren for me these days. Although attending Albion matches is still number one on my intentions list, it never happens. Other than the anxiety issues there is nothing to stop me and I do rather miss it.

I shall be making the short journey from my bedroom to the living room via the kitchen, where I will be stocking up on refreshments from the fridge before settling into my premium seat in front of the tv.

Meet eldest daughter with my youngest daughter, drive to Brighton station about midday as can't be arsed with the replacement bus from Shoreham.
Get to Wembley about 1:30. Look at for a boozer that's not full of Plastic Mancs (Green Man was suggested), bevvy or 2, greasy burger, wobble down Wembley Way singing loudly the wrong words out of tune as per, watch us demolished the Manure and then back home to watch it again on TV.
Went to Box Park before/after 2019 semi, was great. Players came over after the game and photos with Duffers, Stephens, Dunky which added to the occasion for us but eldest can't hang around this time.

All the best PG. I’ve been there, several times. It is as you say a pretty demeaning process, but it is the only way (unfortunately) to enable the specialist to take a very close look at a cleansed area. For me the worst bit was when they inflate the bowel to stretch the walls, that was very painful, but it was very soon over. I wish you all the best in your quest, as I’m sure many others do on here.

Tough to say K. it will be a good 7pm or later post match, many have a long way to travel and will have been on the lash for a long time pre match too. And many have coach travel which will leave at a set time too. I was there post match last time too, and it was pretty special when some of the players made an unexpected appearance. I wouldn’t expect that this time, win or lose, for two reasons. One, we’re big time now. And two, BHAFC have not hired the entire venue, so cannot decide what does and does not happen, nor provide the security required.

I’ve been there BL, you’re not alone by any means. It’s a very very tough one to get people to properly embrace and understand, in my own experience. Be bold, try to be confident, be assured, that inside many around you are toughing it out just like you. You’re not alone. And I have a spare for Boxpark, if you feel really brave, my group will look after you, i promise that.

He was born at 23:55 so if anyone’s to blame it’s the excellent mid wife staff at PRH who were too damn efficient on the day

Best of luck - sympathy for your issues. I'm not too bad with Big Crowds but I loathe Travel unless very local these days, the Amex is around 20 miles for me and that is enough. Retiring later this year and if I never have to drive on the M25 again that will be fine with me.
