No doubt we'll have a sell on clause and perhaps a small profit. And a memory of the goal v Luton.

Good luck to Percy if this does indeed happen.

I know he only a squad player but getting rid of another attacking player surely means we are confident of getting one over the line

Steady! We are massively over stocked up front, I suspect a few more out of Connolly (loan), Zeqiri (loan), Andone or Locadia will be off too whether we sign new stock or not.

Welbeck, Trossard and Maupay are the ones we’re certain to keep this season.

I thought potter wouldn’t let him go to the olympics as he would feature in our team this season?

That may have been the case but things can change. It's possible having seen Percy in pre season that Potter has decided he isn't going to feature as heavily in the squad this season as expected/wanted and we've decided to move him on if the right offer came in. It's also possible that Tau knowing about this interest from Al Ahly has expressed a wish to join them as he sees himself only getting limited time on the pitch with us.

If he is off, good luck to the bloke, seems like a decent chap, always tried hard on the pitch but ultimately he lacked a little something for the Premier League. If this opens up a chance for Reda Khadra to be more involved with the first team this season then I'm all for it.

Must be someone coming in soon if we’re okay with letting him go. Some serious squad trimming going on this summer.

Our squad was, and still is, enormous.

Tau going reduces it to 25 players over 21, with 8/9 under 21 year olds also realistic squad members.

That is before we sign a left back and a striker.

Obviously trust the club on this, but still think he wasn’t really given a chance.

He looked great in his fleeting cameos. Especially at City and home to Villa I think (the assist for Welbeck. Lovey goal at the weekend too. Funny one.

He absolutely was given a chance imo. His main problem was a lack of physical strength, which is something we all take for granted but an area where he looked out of his depth in the Premier League.

I'm glad he's gone if it means his wages are freed up. No disrespect to the man himself of course, but tbh he was barely worth having on the books.

Well he wasn’t given much of a chance in the first team, I mean.

Not every player needs a 'chance' - their 'chance' is in training all week

City away looked decent but looked miles off the pace to me.

Age 27 so not likely to really push on massively. Could give more time but I'm sure we've seen what we need in training.

Wasnt AJ levels of bad so would possibly be alright in the championship

Good luck to him all the same
