Heard from a palace mate Clyne is off to manure for £4m
They won't get £4m for him as his contract will have finished. Tribunal or whatever it's called these days will decide on £2-£2½m at most.
If a club comes in for Zaha over the summer with anything like a £4m bid, Palace would be fools to turn them away. Keep hold of him for another year and then when people realise he's just a show pony with a stroppy attitude, the value will drop considerably. In my opinion like.
Williams on the other hand, is actually a class player that deserves to be bigged up.
It's catch 22 for Palace on the attendance front. They play negative football and keep things tight in the hope of nicking a 1-0 win. This has seen their league position greatly improve on the last few years, but attendances are dropping because it's dull to watch that stuff in a crap stadium that only the diehards love, and the natives are getting restless that they're being outplayed by the bottom of the league side. Even with the forced changes and having to play two strikers midweek, things didn't really improve. Granted players were slightly out of position but it still doesn't bode well.
Will be interesting to see if Freedman can get them playing a bit more attacking football, without shipping goals at the other end. At the moment he's just proved he is great at organising them defensively but little else.
