 Shock horror he's gone straight back into management... Bet he had this lined up before he left us.

Have to say I didn't expect this. Also, I agree with Ernest from page 1 of this thread, it's a bit of a sad refection on us that he would leave for what he admitted last year was a war zone.

For the record, Maccabi are in the Champions League next season......

If they don't make the group stages, which given past history, is not a given, he effectively is left with football at a poorer level than what he has just left.

As long as he is happy.

Then they have a much better chance of making the group stages then, dont they. Im sure he would much rather be playing Real Madrid away on a Tuesday night than Rotherham away on a Tuesday night.

Love the positive spin you're trying to put on it!

He could have had the pick of any winners of some tinpot national league if CL football is all he wanted.

Going somewhere for the possibility of 6 high profile games a season, and chances are he'll only get one Euro giant in a group stage, with the rest being a bit meh is still a cop out if you ask me

Europa league, I don't recall them beating much of a trail in that either.

Sorry, but for me it shows a lack of ambition by Oscar.

Will we be getting a 'sweetener'.

I can imagine something coming our way if he went to another championship club, or even Premier League, a few weeks after walking out on us.

But that's seems unlikely now.

And another vote for - odd move.
