Anyone who thinks adkins isn't a good appointment clearly has no clue. It would be a great appointment.
Solsjkear would be FLAIR! But not sensible if adkins wants it

So last weeks 'Coppell is Blooms target' tucked away in a small column doesn't count.
I think you will find that it's guesswork.
Time will tell I guess!
Eh? Coppell was Bloom's target. Have you been paying attention this week? The NoW is a weekly paper. Last week Coppell was the top target. The story was 100 per cent correct.
Who knows, maybe this week we'll offer Adkins the job, he'll accept, and then change his mind over transfer funds. And that wouldn't make this story wrong when it was written either.
And in the bigger picture, there is absolutely zero point in a tabloid running a totally untrue story about a League One club. No one really cares apart from us, it doesn't exactly sell papers.
I'd be a bit disappointed tbh. Peter Taylor has been dropping hints about the possibility of coming back if invited as a coach / assistant which would make the appointment of OGS or Poyet a much more viable proposition. This would also please me. That's reason enough, for me anyway.
PGA and PT, now there is something I like the sound of, a lot. Do it Tony
Very disappointing if true, not the name that will get bums back on seats at Withdean.
A winning streak will though and although OGS would get bums on seats instantly he really is unproven and a big gamble imo. I guarantee a rapid climb up the table with the sort of football we are playing going forward with a tight defence would bring the crowds flocking back and I reckon Adkins has as good a chance of any of the realistic targets of doing that
I'm lost now..PGA?
Hmmm, wonder if it could be Adkins with Poyet as coach?
Nigel Adkins said this on Friday in the local paper:
Adkins linked to Brighton job
SCUNTHORPE United boss Nigel Adkins has been linked to the vacant managerial role at Brighton.
The Seagulls had hoped to land former Reading boss Steve Coppell, but he has ruled himself out of the running to replace Russell Slade, who was dismissed earlier this month.
Albion chairman Tony Bloom thinks highly of Adkins after seeing him twice lead Scunthorpe to the Championship.
But it is a job the United boss would be unlikely to plump for.
It would involve dropping down a division and only last week Adkins told the Telegraph just how ambitious he is.
"I have said from day one of getting this job that I am a very ambitious person," he said.
"We are surrounded in life by opportunities. It is then about choosing whether you want to take them or not if it is right for your family.
oh well.
Maybe my hatred of the rag got the better of me!
