NHS leg pain

Barrel of Fun

Best of luck.

Both my sister and father went to see a GP about back problems and were misdiagnosed. The lesson is that GPs will be faced with every single ailment possible and there are so many similar symptoms for them. They are good for so much, but specialist help is also required. They are not perfect. Both my father and sister went to see a physio and the more serious problems were detected. GPs jack of all trades - if in doubt, demand to see a specialist.

I dearly hope things work out for you.

Only just came across this thread. All the best Andrew. I really hope it all ends well and you can return to normality.

I've just spent tue and Wed in hospital myself after suffering 2 of the worst headaches imagianable. Had a CT scan and the surgeon thought it was a bleed on the brain. Dont exactly know what that would have meant but i also have a 18 month old kid and iwas shitting myself with fear about the future. Anyway it was sent to a neurological unit and it was in fact a false alarm. A lumber puncture also confirmed that. Got discharged yesterday and they still dont know cause but thankfully the serious stuff had been ruled out.

Anyway i was lucky and its made me reflect on life. I will keep an eye on this thread Andrew. Keep us updated and stay positive. Take care.

Crikey. That sounds rubbish. One would hope they would refer you to all different kinds of specialists if they were stumped for ideas, rather than no-one.

Yeah the procedure will be a lot less invasive but the fact they left me all day. Plus if he cant get the right tissue he`s 90% sure. Ive got have the op i was going to have today anyway. So ive spent the whloe deal in hospital under nil by mouth for f*** all. Bastards the lot of them

Mate, with respect, you're not focussing on the positives. The important fact is 'the procedure will be a lot less invasive'. THAT IS A BIG POINT. The fact that you've sat there 'nil by mouth' all day is for sure frustrating, but try and look at the bigger picture. The doctors are not your enemy. They may not feel like your friends right now, but they sure as hell are not your enemy. They're trying to do their best for you.

Good luck with the procedure

For sure. And apologies for bringing it up. But nothing moves very fast in a hospital. Things move at what might seem to me and thee like a snail's pace. Thats just how it is.

Good luck for tomorrow.

The Championship.
Best of luck to you mate hope everything goes well for you and your little one.

My mum just had to go hospital today because she could not move with her back. She has had an MRI scan a long time ago and also had a slip disk but she cannot move at all and this is the worst pain I have seen her in.
