henderson- needs to learn when to come off his line, seemed a bit superglued at times, kicking was poor

dodd- better than he was at reading, set pieces were improved and he was more solid defensively

butters- composed as ever

mcshane- brilliant, just brilliant

reid- looked ok at left back, suprised me actually, don't think he did much wrong

carole- looked pretty nippy, bags of pace and likes to take people on and looks very confident on the ball- seems to have a decent cross on him aswell

carpenter- oh dear, its a shame to see someone once so solid play like that. Gave the ball away countless times and looks too slow on the ball

oatway- his usual self, tackling away but again offered nothing attacking wise and some of his crosses were simply poor. I don't think we can play oatway and carpenter together

hammond- not a left winger but did ok i guess

knight- thought he looked much better in his withdrawn role and nice to see him score again

ckr- not overly impressed but it is hard to play upfront by yourself and he did work hard

nicolas- looked ok when he came on but i think it was the wrong move by mm

turienzo- fairly average really, but again, its not the easiest thing playing upfront by yourself

robinson- needed to be brought on earlier, his determination gave us a point, maybe he should start

Are you aware that we controlled the vast majority of the game from midfield. Who do you think was responsible for that?

were you aware that carpenter and oatway played a little bit shit?

No - I can't believe you were at the game.

can Tommy Boy attempt an answer about how we controlled the vast majority of the game if both our central midfielders were shit? How is that possible in football I'm wondering ???

oatway is a good leader and his strength is of course his determination but, for example, nicolas has that determination and also has the ability to pass the ball to one of his team mates, something that, for all trying, oatway doesn't have

carpenter has in the past been our best midfielder but today, and at reading, he was poor, gave the ball away far too often and was caught on the ball in our half several times

I think L.I it was because we played with nearly a 5 man midfield in the first half with Hammond, Carole and Knight doing most of the constructive work.

Carpenter was very rarely caught on the ball today, he was a different player from Tuesday. Nicolas attempted about 3 forward passes today and not one found a Brighton player - I'm not knocking him unduly because the rest of the team played very badly while he was on the pitch.

You really saw Hammond complete more passes than Oatway or Carpenter?

I agree Knight and Carole were excellent - I put that down to the good service they got.

he was on the wing thats why

if he completed more than the two in the middle i would be disappointed for those two
