Worthing
The only reason and way the club would sell him if it is for a considerable profit so unless unless Everton or a Serie A team is going to stump that up he’s staying.
This.
But regardless of our opinions, next season is a big one for MOR.
His toughest fight maybe securing a starting place.

I agree . . . That's sense . . . . . Unlike zebedee's full on attention seeking horse-shit waffle.
If you are going to lob personal abuse at people for expressing opinions about players at least get their username right 😂
Are you confusing him with WBG?
Er … no. How many games did WBG play for us under FH ? My observations are based on watching him closely at all the matches I attended last season.

It’s all opinion at the end of the day - Look how many times people on these boards have been proven wrong about players and managers.

Lets see whether he is still here in September and if so, where he will be in the pecking order after loan players come back and Yalcouye joins the squad (and anyone we might sign over the summer)

Not necessarily. It’s up to the player too.

If MoR is low in the pecking order and has been told he is not guaranteed starts next season, the Club could let him go if that’s not good enough for him rather than keeping an unhappy player on the books.

Because of injury, he’s not played as much as he needed to this season and could be wanting regular starts ahead of next years World Cup.

Yes, and although I agree with what you’re referring to that’s how it should be and it not only applies to him but most of the incomers from last season and some of those who were already here. The better out team becomes the harder it becomes to get into because we aren’t buying players at their peak but who our recruitment team think have the potential to improve.

No it isn’t. If the club doesn’t get a significant amount he simply won’t sell because one injured affected season isn’t enough to judge O’Riley’s progress and Tony Bloom’s algorithms are based on selling players at a significant profit and so early in his contract there’s no reason to sell at what for less than those algorithms predicted he can become worth.

Why? We did with WBG (not to mention a load of others like Undav, Jahanbakhsh, Andone, etc.) If the club decide the best option is to try to recoup the money they've spent, they will do it.

Please note the intentional use of the word 'if' before ranting!

Under the new owners, maybe.
They’re still going to be restricted by PSR. Having a big new stadium isn’t going to increase their spending capability overnight, much as many of their fans seem to think they’ll suddenly become a major attraction to top tier players.

If the story is true we need a better head of recruitment?
O'Reilly's issue is competing with young talent like Gruda, Gomez, Georginio, Ayari and Hinshelwood as well as potentially Buonanotte next season.

If he'd got the minutes and not have been injured by a non-league slogger, I suspect he'd have had a much better season. He has not been bad by any means and has done enough to deserve another go next season. But, is he going to get much game time with what aforementioned players bring to the team?

It's so incredibly competitive and crowded in our central attacking midfield areas, it just seems that at least one player is going to have to move on.

… made key contributions (including an assist and a stonking penalty – something that might be needed if Joao Pedro facks off)

I thought at the time he shouldn’t have stepped up, if the truth be told and said so to my mate. As it was, it was a good spot kick but at knee/thigh height and Vicario read him and went in the right direction at the right height - I wouldn’t call it ‘stonking’ and think he was lucky to be honest.

I certainly don’t see him as a spot kick replacement for Pedro, at least not based on that one penalty.

Now Gomez’s strike in injury time from 25 yards out was stonking!

EDIT - Getting my matches mixed up - what a hash - I was watching the Spurs match on TV

Maybe it looked better on TV or from a different angle but from the halfway line in the 1901, it looked too saveable for my liking.

They have a 1901 club at Tottenham too?

How was his penalty in the cup?

I'd watch it again. He hit the side netting.
