Er … no. How many games did WBG play for us under FH ? My observations are based on watching him closely at all the matches I attended last season.

If MoR is low in the pecking order and has been told he is not guaranteed starts next season, the Club could let him go if that’s not good enough for him rather than keeping an unhappy player on the books.

Because of injury, he’s not played as much as he needed to this season and could be wanting regular starts ahead of next years World Cup.

Yes, and although I agree with what you’re referring to that’s how it should be and it not only applies to him but most of the incomers from last season and some of those who were already here. The better out team becomes the harder it becomes to get into because we aren’t buying players at their peak but who our recruitment team think have the potential to improve.

Not necessarily. It’s up to the player too.

No it isn’t. If the club doesn’t get a significant amount he simply won’t sell because one injured affected season isn’t enough to judge O’Riley’s progress and Tony Bloom’s algorithms are based on selling players at a significant profit and so early in his contract there’s no reason to sell at what for less than those algorithms predicted he can become worth.

Why? We did with WBG (not to mention a load of others like Undav, Jahanbakhsh, Andone, etc.) If the club decide the best option is to try to recoup the money they've spent, they will do it.

O'Reilly's issue is competing with young talent like Gruda, Gomez, Georginio, Ayari and Hinshelwood as well as potentially Buonanotte next season.

If he'd got the minutes and not have been injured by a non-league slogger, I suspect he'd have had a much better season. He has not been bad by any means and has done enough to deserve another go next season. But, is he going to get much game time with what aforementioned players bring to the team?

It's so incredibly competitive and crowded in our central attacking midfield areas, it just seems that at least one player is going to have to move on.

I thought at the time he shouldn’t have stepped up, if the truth be told and said so to my mate. As it was, it was a good spot kick but at knee/thigh height and Vicario read him and went in the right direction at the right height - I wouldn’t call it ‘stonking’ and think he was lucky to be honest.

I certainly don’t see him as a spot kick replacement for Pedro, at least not based on that one penalty.

Now Gomez’s strike in injury time from 25 yards out was stonking!
