I wouldnt say I loved her...but was definitely better than the people that came before her.

I am in two minds about her. She did a lot of good, but also a lot of bad.

She is slightly overrated, as she had a popular persona.

You have to give her credit for the defiance she showed against the IRA. Particularly when she lost a close friend in the Grand Bombing.

This mining thing is a strange old thing. everyone up in arms about miners losing their jobs but I have not seen many marches about thousands of jobs going in the financial services industry

Yes Thatcher was so Patriotic. She used cheap Polish coal to undermine the miners.

The miners took up the struggle themselves and as the miners had always supported other industries struggles they got the support back.
