Have you seen the Man City game? Joe Hart in an identical situation DIDN'T get sent off. One ref was right and one was wrong. I hope Mr Friend is the one in the wrong as it just wasn't the 'right' thing to do.

Nope, not seen it.

Either way, there is no argument in it, it was a stone wall red card. As I say, Mr Friend said before the game he'd love to keep a low profile and stay out of big decisions if the game allows him too. He didn't want to send Matt Duke off, but he had to. If not, he gets marked down by his assessors, and this knocks him back down the ladder.
Rules are rules, even more so for referee's, because it's their job to ensure they are properly enforced.
