I want to like Agustien but when someone is obviously unfit it says something about him, it's a pre requisite of a footballer to have some sort of general fitness but for a sub to come on and start puffing after a few minutes is unforgivable.

I want to like Conway too but as we are paying his wages to sit on the bench like Dobbie it is a bit more difficult.

At the moment if business doesn't pick up with the new signings I'd say Burke should make way for someone more able.

I was more dissapointed with Ulloa fluffing his lines when he was in space one on one with Kirkland.

.....or Barnes missing the target from 8 yards......both disappointing.

Certainly looks to be carrying a little extra 'timber'. Having said that come Sat I fear Andy Reid is going to cause us all sorts of trouble and he is blatantly chubby!

Brighton / Hove actually
The ball bounced badly for him. I thought so at the time and the extended highlights confirmed it. FWIW I thought Agustien had a poor game too.

Now you are making excuses for him :lolol: I thought he fluffed his control and at the time and watching the highlights it confirmed it. He could have taken a shot instead of trying to go round Kirkland and he ended up doing neither.

Is there a link between the thread title and the opening poster's moniker...or have I been watching too much porn?

Kemy came to us with virtually no pre season training and was unfit. He started to look better and then got injured again. So the process is starting again. Perhaps best to judge him after he is fully fit and a few games under his belt.

Although, he missed he did extremely well to find the space when he peeled off the centre half, the ball was slightly behind him, so I think it's a bit harsh to call it disappointing, had he scored it would have been a great goal. Still the bottom line is he didn't, but it was nowhere near as bad a miss as Ulloa and Lopez.

Yep Barnes was unlucky with that, he did everything right and has to aim for inside the upright, and he wasn't far from being clinical.

I do wonder he's a bit of a Nicholas Bendter type.
And by that I mean no one is a bigger believer in his undeniable skill than himself.

But then if he sorts it out he could be our best player by a long way.

A nice bit of South London
My guess is that he already knows all three of these things, and understands that that's why he's playing for BHA and not a much bigger team. Just a guess mind.

Having said that, I didn't think he played half as badly tonight as the general consensus on here would suggest.

I also thought he was ok for what little that's worth

To be honest the fact that he looks so unfit is one of the very things that people ARE judging him on. People look at his physique, consider that he is pocketing thousands of pounds a week to be the best proffessional athlete he can be, and inevitably consider his level of motivation and commitment.

Beyond that, though, the main gripe with him last night was his ludicrous decisions to keep trying to waltz through three defenders - invariably losing the ball. That kind of thing has nothing to do with fitness, and everything to do with his mindset. I hope Oscar and Jones tear him a new one this morning, and that he starts to apply himself.

Yes he does look fat and unfit, but he actually is both of these!! No excuses, he is a professional athlete, massive fail!

Very much marmite at Palace, his best performances were his last 2 appearances when he appeared to be keen on staying and win himself a permanent deal.

The talent is there but I get the feeling it takes an old school manager to get the best out of him, on his day his passing is sublime.

Clearly you did, as just before he got crowded out and ended up fouling the bloke shielding the ball.
He danced round the same 3 players with some amazing trickery.

I am quite aware now that nobody on here saw him play for Swansea, I saw him a few super sundays and believe me, when he's fit he is going to be absolutely brilliant for us. Obviously in this day and age when a manager is expected to bed in and have us promoted all within a season and have every player playing at his full potential immediately it won't suit and he'll be out the door in Jan if NSC get their way but alas, he is quite the midfielder when fit.

A bit like the new bloke in the office, who starts every sentence, at my old place we used to do it this way...It just makes him harder to like. The bottom half of the Championship is packed with players who think they are too good to be playing at this level and I don't want to see him anywhere near our first team again, until he sorts out his fitness and attitude.

Oh and yes he has to try TWICE as hard as any other player, because he has been a Grade A **** behind the wheel of a car, if he want to win me over.
