It seems that Palace will be all good to enter the Europa League and we can all look forward to next week's release of the new fixture list. Sunderland is my guess for our 1st game🙂
A tweet from a jouno stating Textor is willing to sell his shares is merely reiterating what we knew as that is what he said when they came out of the meeting with Uefa! What could be interesting is that if he does sell to Blitzer and Harris, will they insist on a change of the voting set up as they will own between them about 79% of the shares. Beaky might have to relinquish his interest to save the european dream! Would he be willing to do that?

A US sports consortium is interested, according to the Athletic.

Would like it to be a Everton away again and be their first ever opponents at their new stadium !

What if the Albion beat a Everton 0 - 4 in the first regular PL match at their new stadium? Does the BHAFC really want that?

So, having skim read it, Johnny Testicle is buying Wolves in order to stick it to Forest and Palace have to stand outside the headmasters office.
Have I got that right ?

Don’t these things normally take time? Due diligence and all that? I suppose if it can be completed in the next week or two, then Palace could get off with just a fine for missing a deadline, but I wouldn’t say this is 100% case closed just yet.

Presumably, if they went outside PL rules in desperation to resolve the ownership question, they could start the PL season with a points deduction?

I don't get this Textor reducing his shares so it's all okay now. UEFA Article 5 says:

View attachment 204027

It isn't 'Textor' that actually owns either Palace or Lyon.

Eagle Football own 43% of Palace
Eagle Football own Lyon
Eagle Football are presumably a 'legal entity'

And therefore it is 'Eagle Football' that has control or influence over more than one club. Textor may have the controlling share in Eagle Football, but it's a legal entity in itself surely?
Exactly this, and presumably that wording is for exactly this sort of scenario.

Imagine Textor owner 51% of Eagle Football who, in turn, owned 51% of Palace.

He would have a majority/controlling share of the company with a majority/controlling share of the club.

But under this wacky new accounting system, he "personally" only owns 26.01%, so below the UEFA threshold and all is fine. Which is clearly nonsense.

Brighton factually.....
Rules are there to be broken.

I have said it before and will again, although it would have been funny if they had been thrown out, I would not want to begrudge them their day in the sun. We simply fluffed it in certain games, I am not bitter and hate Chelsea, Man United, moany Arsenal, Cheating City and entitled Everton more than Palace.

I'm the same. I live behind enemy lines and have loads of mates who are Palace fans, and Palace fans are like us as they are only supporting their local team. I wouldn't begrudge them their day in the sun either really.

But Chelsea and Manu U in particular can get in the sea. (And the two comedy north London "giants" along with Man Citeh can certainly get their toes wet whilst we're at it)

Source was Ben Jacobs.

Southern Rail has more reliability
I'm not sure how Ben Jacobs actually cuts a living as a serious football journalist - about 80% of whatever he reports is absolute nonsense. This is solely based on the bloke from Sky's report from earlier (which sounded like it was fed to him by Parish). Jacobs knows nothing.
