Only thing I can't understand, if Textor really doesn't have decisive influence, I don't see why there's this sudden desperation to sell now.
Surely that complicates things if Palace are innocent of what they're being accused of ?

Excuse me if I am missing something glaringly obvious.

True, but Uefa will allow them to compete if the ownership issue is resolved. I imagine they would then just issue Palace with a fine for missing the March 1 deadline.

Buyer named. Implies Forest aren’t going to give in.

I for one am in favour of Palace being owned by a Trump lackey Chelsea fan with a name made up of two slang words for what he’d have to be to spend £200m on that shower. I hope they have the same success as his American Football Team.

"It is understood Brighton have no intention of making a complaint to Uefa and would be unlikely to join Forest in any legal action to prevent Palace, their arch-rivals, from competing in Europe."

Let's hope our neighbours up the road appreciate that BHAFC always has class.
Yes. It's nice to be owned by someone who, as well as being committed and unfeasibly generous, is both honourable and competent.. In the world of football, owners as good as ours are harder to find than an NSC thread without a fish pun.

I'd expect nothing less from Bloom (and Barbel).

- or could it be that Bloom has worked out the odds of getting Palace kicked out and has decided the odds aren't worth a punt?

Interesting.....

"This is despite significant efforts by the club to work constructively with Uefa to make necessary ownership and governance changes to allow both to compete over the past several months.

"We have been in active dialogue with UEFA for months and have put forward a share disposition, trust arrangements, and various other undertakings consistent with recent CFCB precedent, only to have all of those efforts rebuffed."
So they've been working on it for several months and still get kicked out? Palace have been working on it (seemingly) for a few weeks and yet look set to take part?

Sounds familiar
