I'm guessing the situation is that UEFA will accept almost any bullshit shenanigans to bypass MCO rules, but that Palace get fined for taking so long to get their shit together.

So glad we don't have to trawl the world for foreign investors. All seems pretty desperate from Palace.

If it was us I'd rather we didn't play in Europe than make a rushed decision on ownership and control, such things need time and careful consideration.

I'm in the 'they won the cup they should play in Europe' camp, if only for the loyal Palace fans who have supported the tinpot club for many years and never seen them play in Europe. We've been there and dreamt, our dream came true.
BUT. If they broke the rules they broke the rules. Yes, UEFA will find a way around it I'm sure, but if he didn't put his shares into a trust fund by March 1st then why can he do it now.
Again, City Group can buy (purely an example) mid table Celta Vigo or Rennes and use them as feeder clubs. Should either reach Europe then City Group would put their shares in a trust AFTER the season finishes

It seems that Palace will be all good to enter the Europa League and we can all look forward to next week's release of the new fixture list. Sunderland is my guess for our 1st game🙂
Yes will be good to maybe tick off a new ground, though I’d bet my house that Sunderland’s first game is at Anfield. Liverpool almost always get the new ‘upstart’ promoted team. Not sure which fixture I will look for first when the fixtures are released, it’s obviously usually Palace but IMO the rivalry in the league is irrelevant for all the while that they’ve won a trophy and we haven’t. Looking forward to us playing Leeds away. Not been to Elland Rd before and it’s always entertaining playing Leeds.

If my theory that some "news" outlets are basing their facts on this thread there is now a chance that someone will mention Wolves as being involved in all this.
Surprised Ben Jacobs isn't all over it.

It is all just a farce really, is anyone seriously telling me Marinakis doesnt have complete control and final say over Olymoiacos/Forest just because his shares are in a blind trusts?

It was always going to end this way. This annoying story only succeeded in reminding us over and over again how we failed in our objective of winning European football on the pitch. The sooner this thread disappears, the better

Totally agree. Anyone telling me, if Nuno gets canned next season, that Marianakis isn't the one pulling the trigger needs their head tested. It's a legal loophole along the lines of Chelsea selling things to a different version of Chelsea to bypass PSR

We had Luton at home when they finally got up and remember it well 4-1 🙂
