I'm sure that Steve 'which camera' Beaky has been playing everyone and has had this set up for ages. He is far too awesome to bodge basic admin preventing playing in Europe.

On their forum there is obviously a heavy duty discussion going on including but not limited too ‘The horror of us replacing them’ to Bloom got away with it with his Belgium Club by selling shares to his mate & a certain football finance experts suggesting it’s all a fuss about nothing 😂

No idea where this June that is coming from. Forest draw is 4th August, that’s the deadline.

Still quite some time to find someone to buy his share and I doubt he’s going to take a discounted offer purely so palace can lose a few games in Europe and earn £15m.
But the legalities will need to be sorted by the time the first draw is made. Even though they are called qualifiers, they are still part of the competition. The draw for the conference league qualifiers and Europa league qualifiers are 17th June.

Textor will sell his shares to his mates. Nothing to see here.

With the current rules and 'lack of quality' enforcement I guess that is quite possible.
For me the rules should also state that dubious sales to others for below market rates should be considered a no no. It should be interpreted as circumnavigating the rules everyone agrees to before the season kicks off. If he can find a buyer offering a decent price good luck to him.
Unfortunately the shady activities of these individuals and clubs (Chelsea for example) in successfully evading the rules infuriates us fans. Well it does me anyhow.

He'll probably write a dodgy contract that means he gives them the money to pay for the shares and he, in effect, still owns them.
Exactly, these folks are experts and finding loopholes in such circumstances

I don't think it's as simple as that. Clubs need to know what sort of budgeting they have to do for the forthcoming season. Palace could spend £100m on making their squad as fit as possible for a fixture list full of twice-per-week matches and then have that taken away causing them to have to forfeit spending on their 2018 new stand.
There has to be enough time for this to be sorted considering the split transfer window too

Can you imagine our first game against them? 'We're all going on a European tour!' for 90 mins..

They are obviously not going to get thrown out. But it's very funny seeing them getting worked up about this mess.

At least it hasn't taken them to come back down to ground and realise that their well-deserved-but-slightly-fortuitous cup win doesn't mean they aren't a total shambles behind the scenes. Now, how's their ground redevelopment coming along
