Bye bye Nigel
It's interesting. Reading that article, it seems like there's almost no avenue available for Palace to compete in Europe this season, and yet I'm 100% convinced that they'll find a way

Textor will sell his shares to his mates. Nothing to see here.
He'll only do this if it means UEFA keep Palace in the Europa.

There seems to be some doubt that he has the time to sell and that UEFA would have the time to study the details of the deal.

That said, I'm still in your camp that they'll play in the Europa, it's narrative of them doing so that I'm struggling a bit with.

Snapshots from the BBS attached. Is there any reason to believe the stuff about Bloom? Only adding fuel to the rivalry either way.

What I like about that is that it's literally all made up.

"Why are you angry?"
"I made up the fact that Bloom is orchestrating this against us."
"Why did you do that?"
"Because he's a weirdo and I need someone to blame!"
"Yeah, but you just made that up. Isn't this Textor's fault?"
"So? Bloom is a weirdo! It just makes me so angry!"

(The ironic thing is I actually didn’t want us to get Europe in the end, and rather let Fab build and develop the squad)
I wouldn't worry about that. We've got the squad to cope with the teams we'd face for most of this seemingly unlikely campaign. In fact, it could help getting players like Enciso to sign contract extensions as we'd be able to guarantee a lot more game time.

We wouldn't be playing a team we've heard of until about March next year. That could be when our best players join in.

Anyone else puzzled about how long this is dragging out, when some very confident folk from Croydon were telling this was a complete non-story?
Yes I was going to say something similar, I feel if this was an easy “they’re in” then it would be done and dusted by now. The fact it’s dragging out suggests something’s up.

They need to pull their finger out and get it done, there are three clubs (Palace, Forest and us) with skin in the game.

Is there any deadline set for a decision? As surely it needs to be soon, as it will have a direct impact on what clubs do in the summer transfer window, for example

I’m assuming there are multiple lawyers involved - as one of the potentially affected parties is Marinakis, I can imagine they are being extra careful to get all their ducks in a row.

I’m not puzzled about the length of time to get a decision - (they only qualified against most expectations a few weeks ago - so I suppose a blink of an eye in UEFA time zone - it’s not like they’ve been in the top 6/7 for months.)

Like the City case, can’t see much happening before the 17th June qualifying draws so both Clubs may avoid sanctions in time for next season.

But - I am puzzled why Palace fans continue to think the rules on multi-club ownership apply to everyone except themselves?

They can’t be that thick in Croydon, Shirly?
