This is how I feel.

After The Grauniad article today, it’s the first time I’ve genuinely thought they might be kicked out.

Which means I’m sure it will now be sorted tomorrow!
I don't think the article changes anything that we didn't know yesterday. I suspect Palace went into the meeting with the offer of putting shares into a blind trust, this was rejected and they were told the only option is to sell, hence Textor stated yesterday that he is looking to sell.

There will be a song sung about this for 100+ years if it happens!

However, they are just so incredibly spawny! I can still not look past them getting a similar punishment to the one their keeper received for a blatant hand ball outside his area denying a clear goal scoring chance.
The fact of the matter is they will have their arses kicked from the Po to the Volga and will be looking forward to round 3 of the FA cup by November.

They're going to win it, aren't they.
Champions of Europe.

No idea where this June that is coming from. Forest draw is 4th August, that’s the deadline.

Still quite some time to find someone to buy his share and I doubt he’s going to take a discounted offer purely so palace can lose a few games in Europe and earn £15m.
Uefa might believe that the competition actually starts with draw for the first qualifying round and therefore that should be when the decision is made.

4th August is an absolute deadline, however Forest, Palace and us would probably want more than 2 weeks to prepare for huge changes in each of our seasons. UEFA will make decision sooner rather than later. They also need to give time for any legal challenge Palace could make and be able to get that resolved before August too.

The decision on previous multi club ownership rulings, including us & USG two seasons ago, and United/City last season were all announced in early July after UEFA had investigated all clubs. I’d expect a similar timeline this year.

They are an absolute joke club. There’s no way they should be allowed into Europe but if something seems too good to be true, it usually is.

As an aside, I work in Croydon and no-one there seems to care they won the FA Cup. They really do have a tiny pitiful fanbase.
To be honest, I live in Caterham and the streets are now full of red and blue.
Back to the case in hand, it's not looking great for them.

Logically the deadline for ANYTHING should be 1st March. Why have a deadline for blind trusts, and then a different deadline for other measures?
And the transfer window is already open - so clubs are transacting business on the basis of being (or not being) in European competitions…assumptions which could turn out to be wrong!
Palace have really f*cked up here!

The deadline for clubs to make sure they were compliant was March 1st. The absolute deadline of August 4th is for UEFA to announce what their ruling is. It isn’t a deadline for Palace to sort things out.

UEFA will It announce what is going to happen a lot earlier than that though to allow clubs to properly prepare for the season.

Surely Palace would appeal in the unlikely event (IMO) the ruling went against them

But aren't the fixtures sorted before then?
The slight delay makes me think it could be bad news for Palace. Doesn’t seem long enough for them to arrange an alternative solution, but does give UEFA time to make absolutely sure their case for exclusion is watertight. 2+2=5 possibly, but you never know…

Yes. If it was an easy solution - would have been sorted by now.

To be fair to Palace, nobody would have reasonably had them down to qualify for any european place prior to 1st March, but then you'd think they should have put the blind trust in place as a simple matter of due diligence for owning two clubs. That said, it seems to me that Textor had been touting for Everton ownership, so maybe he was hedging his bets?

The issue UEFA has is if they are seen to bend the rules for Palace, it sets a precedent for any future clubs in the same situation, that said, presumably they will want to avoid the almost certain legal appeal.

Messy!
