We were allowed to say what we want (in approx 50 words). After the mistake originally, they changed mine to EXACTLY what I wrote in the application form.

They may all say pretty much the same thing but from my perspective, it’s precisely how I feel. Yes I’m passionate about the club but I’m also passionate about being treated fairly, having fair representation and giving a voice to everyone who has a vested interest in what is going on.

I might be deeply cynical, but this whole initiative smacks of the club wanting to create a mechanism whereby unpopular decisions can be given a wash of being ‘fan-backed’ or ‘fan-led’.

Are Benjamin Turner and Jim Jordan one and the same person? Their statements are both identical. Makes me question whether all the statements are accurate and attributable?

I did enjoy one of the candidates saying something along the lines of they were looking forward to helping the club succeed on and off the pitch. Perhaps a slightly lofty opinion of the powers on offer to the FAB!

It did cross my mind, but I think a couple of female members of the Supporters' Club may have seen me accidently opening a porn website on my phone on the Costa Express, so - no!

I'm sure you were just checking out the local tractors for the Council.

Bit of a nonsense, only wanted to vote for the 3 on here but it made me cast more votes, so a random selection for others.

You shouldn’t be forced to vote for anyone you don’t want to in a democratic poll. For this reason I won’t be voting for anyone, despite there being a couple of people on there I would have voted for.

Thought this from the start. Wait for the first ‘unpopular’ change made by the club that’s accompanied by ‘…….and this change has the full backing of the FAB (which as you know is a strong representation across our entire fanbase)’

I think we're all aware of this possibility.

But then there may be other unpopular things which the FAB manage to get changed or altered.

Everyone must surely be encouraged that the club are asking for fan involvement. And let's see if we can make a difference. The successful candidates only have a two year spell, and then you get to vote for a new lot. Maybe the voting process can be adjusted if its so unpopular.

It's so easy to be negative, much harder to make constructive positive proposals - look at every official opposition in Parliament.

And the fans , some of which are NSC regulars , would be happy to be go along with that ? Being used purely as a front.

Can’t some suspend cynicism about a thing at least until it actually starts ? Honestly !

Not me, I’m naturally cynical. Interesting to see how it pans out. Sorry if you’re offended

It. seems clear to me that while this attempt to involve fans may be laudable in itself it also doubles as a way of persuading government/regulator not to go as far as a "golden share" for supporters which would give them real power as opposed to an advisory role only. I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories but I do note how opposed the PL is to any form of outside regulation or control.

Precisely.

To read some of the posts, it's as if we've all been asked to offer our firstborn as a human sacrifice.

There were two other sections in the application where there was no restriction on the number of words.

I echo what Barry Izbak says. If elected, we have a chance, however small, to make a difference in the way fans interact/communicate with the club. Having an actual presence in meetings will give the group an opportunity to debate the issues and put points of view over, IMO much more effectively than via E Mail, fan forums etc.

I hope I'm given a chance to contribute to this process.
