I would rather put Withdean Wanderer in my squad than have Wes Brown in it.

I can't believe how this bloke is a professional footballer let alone an international !!

I would go for

James
Green
Hart/Robinson

Glenn Johnson
Micah Richards
John Terry
Michael Dawson
Rio Ferdinand
Matthew Upson
Ashley Cole
Leighton Baines

Stevie Gerrard
James Milner
Frank Lampard
Michael Carrick
Gareth Barry
David Beckham
Aaron Lennon
Shaun Wright Phillips

Wayne Rooney
Jermaine Defoe
Peter Crouch
Bobby Zamora

I'd love to be able to put Leadley King in there as in my mind when fit he is the best central defender we have BUT he's hardly ever fit and even if he was he would never be able to games 2, 3 or 4 games in quick succession as you would have to in the World Cup.

A. Cole
Baines
Terry
Ferdinand

Two from Brown/Lescott/Woodgate/Richards (prob Lescott cos he's a left sided centre half and Brown because he can play centre back or right back)

Gerrard
Lampard
Barry
Carrick
Milner
Lennon
Walcott/Wright-Phillips
Beckham
J.Cole/A.Young

Rooney
Heskey
Crouch
Defoe

I'm undecided on a few places but there's still two months or so left of the season so whoever is in form will get the pick.

Even when fit, ledley king is possibly the most OVER RATED player i've ever come across. He's just an average centre back, nothing worse nothing better.

Can't believe the amount of people leaving out a player who will start every game.

Emile Heskey.

Am I alone in not rating Green? for me it should be between Robbo and Hart, they have been the best English Keepers this year.

*Agbonlahor

+ I'd have no problem replacing either with Walcott if either lose form. Especially SWP who I'm not 100% convinced about.
* If Owen makes himself undroppable in the next few weeks, then Agbonlahor would be the man I'd leave behind. A fully fit and in-form Owen is one of the best finishers we've ever had. I'd probably even *start* him ahead of Defoe.

Didn't he just do his hamstring again? I can't see him proving his fitness & form in time

I know he came off in the League Cup final, I wasn't sure of the injury.

In which case, I have to agree with you. It's a shame because he's a similar style of player to the infinitely inferior Jermaine Defoe.
