Jimmy SPRAYING it around with the new ball... 9 off that over

The pressure is building on the England bowling attack :nono:

It really is lovely to see full order restored after 18 months of British sporting brilliance. The Olympics, Wimbledon, an Ashes victory, even England getting out of a tough Euro group - all distant memories now.

England being overrated disappointing drivel in the football, Murray falling off the radar in the tennis, England rugby apparently being quite good but nevertheless getting absolutely thrashed on Saturday, and of course our arrogant cricket flids back to garbage in Australia, and now seizing a golden opportunity to lose from a seemingly healthy position barely a day ago in this one against a bang average bowling side. Normal shit-at-sport service has all but been restored.

JA has never been able to bowl at Headingley ( Simon Hughes analysed it well yesterday...too short ) Beats me how a supposed high class bowler can't adjust his length.

You forgot Hamilton not being able to cut it in F1.

That's the ONE! Pitched it up a bit... swung away, Jayawardene wafts a drive at it, and nicks it to Prior.

268-5... leading by 160

GAME ON

Two great low catches in the outer, first Ballance at midwicket and then Root at 3rd man... Liam Plunkett on a hat-trick!

Plunkett drops a simple return catch... misses out on 10 in the match, for now hopefully... and Angelo Mathews continues batting fantastically with the tail... 320-7, Mathews 87*

We really need our overseas players to step up to the plate.

We might not get our own way in Le Tour either.

Although it will be a rockin Olympic like party for the first 3 days.

SL have got enough, they could easily declare now. No point going for wickets, just try and slow the game down and pray for rain.
