Poyet was on the verge of joining Reading and would have done so had Reading not got ' cold feet ' He clearly wanted Bridge to follow him and probably indicated to the Reading board that WB would come with him. This move for WB was lined up in March. QPR thought they had scuppered the deal but it looks like Reading upped the ante and the rest is history.
Bridge is spending a lot of time in the treatment room at Reading, so maybe age is catching up a bit.
As regards Gus at Sunderland, I think you Wearsiders out there should be concerned with his back-up team. They aren't good enough at PL level and GP's charisma will only carry you so far. A long, hard winter ahead, I'm afraid.
