If someone wanted to teach my child with their face covered I would request they change class. Facial expression is part and parcel of our society. How do you teach tongue in cheek?
Where does the money come from to build these monstrosities? A Tony Bloom like fella'?
Should they be banned? - No.
I see people walking down the street wearing piss stained clothes, looking like they have just come out of the gutter. I do however believe that they should be removed in banks, it can be quite intimidating. However, these people come from parts of the world where this is normal. Just the same as we think nothing of gay/ homosexual people walking around proud of thier identity. There are alot of countries out there, where the punishments for the aforementioned is quite severe.
The problem in this country, is that people are reluctant to accept change. We live in a multicultural society, whether we like it or not. Times have changed, we are all human, and we have to respect other peoples decisions, religeons, beliefs.
As far as the Burkas are concerned, I personally am not a fan, but I would not want to see an outright ban, only in respect of banks, where everyone else has to remove head garments.
Why just banks?
Because everyone has to remove head garments whilst inside? -
I dont know, the subject is SO sensitive, you could argue that they should be removed in shops etc.
But where would you draw the line?
I think that they should be banned in the UK.
They don't have any place in a 'western' society
We've done away with Labour(thank fook) and during the election the BNP and similar gained popularity on their immigration platform,so I can see in this country, instead of sitting on our hands, eventually, as other European nations we will follow suit and follow the masses. Not overnight mind but eventually.

The BNP got their arses handed to them in the general election! It was a crushing defeat for the right-wing so dont talk shit.

It really isn't. They are dreadfully oppressive, IMO. I'd insist on Sikhs wearing crash helmets when riding a motorbike too.Id like to see some legitimate evidence that the MAJ of muslim countries have banned the veil..
There is no reason to ban it.
Dont see any bans for Sikhs wearing turbans, dont see any bans for Jews wearing scullcaps...dont see any bans on dreadlocks...dont see any bans etc etc etc..
Ive never heard a muslim woman interviewed saying she didnt want to wear it. Ive seen many, many interviews where muslim women say they are happy and actually prefer it.
Its islamphobia...nothing else.
