Hilarious the way they have framed the headline. As of this is a matter for the people to decide, regardless of facts.

But Johnson wanted to introduce all these checks to 'Take Back Control', 'Protect Our Borders' and 'Get Brexit Done', JRM then decided that they would be 'an act of self harm' and then we kept putting put them off (four times to date) and now we are trying to reduce them to the absolute minimum possible ?

What with this and the various unsuccessful attempts at a Northern Ireland Protocol/Windsor Agreement/Northern Ireland Backstop, It's almost as if they didn't have any understanding whatsoever of what the 'Brexit' was that they were putting forward to be voted on in a referendum

The longest running farce in British history only lasted 16 years, just thank god that we've moved on from Brexit now :lolol:

That's quite a high negative response from Express readers. After all they have been groomed for years to tow the Brexit line

This is the reason you can’t get a dental appointment or an affordable property. This is the reason people are queuing up at food banks and being made homeless. . Not because of immigrants, greedy nurses, or stubborn doctors. Because of those who voted for Brexit and incompetent politicians with no guts.

Brexit is costing the UK economy £100 billion a year ($124 billion), with the effects spanning everything from business investment to the ability of companies to hire workers”.

How can we possibly hope to sort out the economy with this being flushed down the shitter each year?

When is a party leader going to have the balls to say “we need to rejoin the single market, if not the EU”?

This will only get worse until somebody steps up.

Brexit has reduced government tax take, we're less trade intensive. Add in the total incompetence that comes attached to the populist Vote Leave cabal of recent years and we're damaged goods.

From tomorrow businesses will pay an additional 31% on their profits. Already seeing inward investment getting shunned as result.

BTW - Where are the Brexiteers on this thread these days, they can't all have got themselves banned?

I think you will find that the vast majority are now rather embarrassed and would rather you didn't keep highlighting their support of Brexit, so it can be lost in their posting history  and of the very few that are left beyond that, they will happily tell you how they've 'moved on'

That'll be very similar to the way the Palace coach driver 'moved on', hoping some poor sods left behind will clear up the great piles of shit they left everywhere and are now claiming were nothing to do with them :lolol:

Ah, the Express. When it went tabloid did Private Eye (with a nod to The Sun) not christen it the "TitsbyChristmas"?

Post-Brexit border checks coming this year will drive up prices and cause shortages, Government warned

Shane Brennan of the Cold Chain Federation – which represents businesses in the chilled goods supply chain – said: “Overall, exporting products such as meat and dairy from the EU into the UK will be more expensive, slower and more complicated. “We have to expect that many EU-based food exporters will take one look at these proposals and decide to cease supplying UK customers.

The introduction of the post-Brexit inspections had previously been delayed four times to avoid disrupting business. They will now begin in October but will not be fully implemented until late 2024.

https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/post-brexit-border-checks-shortages-government-warned-2257761#:~:text=Ministers have revealed details of,avoid excessive disruption to businesses&text=New post-Brexit checks on,the Government has been warned.

So that'll be JRM's 'act of self harm' coming in then:shootself

I really don't know why people don't just move on from Brexit and focus on more important problems like runaway inflation and rising cost of living ............... oh :dunce:

What is incredible to how EU channel ports were all ready on Brexit day. On the UK side 7 years on they we still don't have our shit together.

Yes but the delays at the ports are entirely down to the French being awkward over border controls..

This has nothing to do with Brexit. Nothing at all.

According to the so-called Home Secretary.
