Didn't think we were going back that far, but I agree that this is an excellent series and it passes the 'British' test. You could add House of Cards and State of Play (political thrillers) as similar dramas, but not quite as gritty.

I would also recommend GBH starring Robert Lindsay.

If you like the 80's stuff, Miami Vice, Air Wolf, A-Team, Knight Rider, then you got the more recent 24... all depends on your tv tastes I guess.

1st series very good, 2nd series went right downhill.

But the second series did have 'our' Ralph Brown in it, so not all bad.
